The 2013 Grand Prix de Pierrefeu had Agama’s Jerome Sartel taking the win from Guillaume Herbert (Agama) in a difficult final, darkness, dust and windy conditions made for hard times for the drivers and spectators. Jerome finished one lap ahead of Guillaume with the Mugen triple of Tom Robin, Tony Robin and Nicolas Vouilloz completing the top 6.

The 2013 C-Netic Challenge took place at the Wiyung International Buggy Track in Surabaya, Indonesia this past weekend. The track is probably one of the most brutal known to off-road racing with its banked and curved jump sections, lap times in the 50’s and the hard, abrasive surface that is reminiscent of the one drivers faced at the 2010 Buggy Worlds in Thailand. Beside the attendance of many Asian hot shots the “International R/C Buggy Championship” also had a good amount of foreign drivers to offer such as Kyle McBride who lead the Australian delegation, Jared Tebo from the U.S., Teemu Leino, Renaud Savoya, Joseph Quagraine and Robert Batlle who came over from Europe while Atsushi Hara and Yuichi Kanai flew over representing Japan with the latter three being current or past 1/8 Buggy World Champions underlining the international flair of the event.

Made for the Kyosho RB6 2WD buggy are these Revolution Design Racing Products aluminium servo mounts. Made from aircraft-quality 7075-T6 aluminium and coming stealth black anodised the parts are designed to replace the kit’s plastic servo mounts with more rigid and better looking parts. The brackets are of a universal fit most of today’s standard-size servos, they come as pair, are laser etched with RB6 logos and they fit the new Kyosho RT6 stadium truck as well.

Revolution Design Racing Products introduce first option parts for the Kyosho RB6 line of buggies. Coming soon are precision machined aluminium rear hubs that are made to replace the standard plastic hubs with a more durable and cooler looking variant. The hubs mimic the stock geometry, offer two vertical mounting positions for the camber link ball studs and they are of a 0° toe design. As usual they come in RDRP’s signature stealth black anodising and sport white markings for that desirable factory look.

Yeah Racing have new bearing sets for some of the latest 1/1o scale kits available. Coming as standard metal-shielded and optional teflon seal variant the sets includes lightly pre-oiled bearings to significantly reduce the friction in the drive train compared to the greased bearings many kits include. Both variants come with a 15ml bottle of high quality bearing oil for convenient maintenance and best possible performance over a long period of time. The RC10, the most classic design in R/C history has been reintroduced to the public and available options parts are in high demand. JConcepts is spot on with the release of the new vehicle with Carbon Fiber options for the front and rear shock towers as well as the transmission brace. The stock vehicle comes standard with a fiberglass unit which carries all the original geometry; however, it lacks the pizzazz, strength and appearance that Carbon Fiber can provide. The new towers maintain the stock geometry and are reinforced with the rear tower offering additional adjustment holes while the new brace creates a more rigid assembly in each direction giving the racers a more solid feel in rear suspension and also resists chassis rear-end tweak and bending issues.

After extensive research and development Novarossi announce the launch of two new off-road specific carburettors. The newly designed parts offer easier and more precise tuneability and the engine will produce more torque in the low and mid RPM range. Available are two different variants with the first being a standard 3-needle offering and the second one being of a new design with the main engine needle sitting where normally the mid-range needle is located.
