P1 Brand  starting grid stencils

P1 Brand introduce a set of starting grid stencils that make for the perfect finishing touch for any track. Ideal for use on a variety of surfaces such as asphalt, carpet, or even hard packed clay and dirt, each od the stencils measures 60cm x 91cm overall. Ten individual stencils comprise the complete set, with a stencil for each number, one through ten. Every stencil features a clearly marked ‘starting box’ and a highly visible grid position number, ideal for use with 1/8th, 1/10th or 1/12th scale vehicles. The plates are laser cut from durable 0.41mm oilboard, come in a low-profile storage box and with a sheet of tips and techniques to help any user obtain consistent, repeatable results.

Shin Adachi joins Yokomo

Shin Adachi joins Yokomo

Following a two year stint with Hot Bodies following his departure from Kyosho, Shin Adachi has now signed a contract with Yokomo, the Japanese manufacturer announced today. Shin will not only supervise the development of their off-road buggy program he also race the company’s latest touring cars. This is what Yokomo President Tom Yokobori had to say about the deal:

With the 2015 IFMAR Electric Offroad World Championships to be hosted by Yatabe Arena approaching, Yokomo is getting into high-gear to further improve our competition offroad cars. To accelerate this effort, we’re continuing to assemble an international team of World-class drivers. Team Yokomo, including Naoto Matsukura, recently joined British ace Lee Martin and many highly-skilled team members, will continue actively participating in races around the World. In addition, our experienced team will work together to actively develop leading-edge designs. Yokomo will continue its tradition of exceeding the expectations of our customers by designing the best R/C cars, participating in competitive racing with great sportsmanship, and being active as a team to provide assistance and support.

Kyle Branson joins XRD Engines

Having recently announced he was joining Capricorn, Kyle Branson is also changing his brand of engine for the coming 2014 season. He will be running the new XRD line of engines alongside team mate Dario Balestri. Kyle had the following to say:

KO Propo RSx2 series high-performance servos

KO Propo introduce the RSx2 series of high-performance digital servos. All feature reworked amplifiers for a more linear feel with today’s high-response radio systems plus the case and gear tolerances are now even tighter for the ultimate in precision. Available are the RSx2 Response HC (0.06s/17.6kg-cm), RSx2 Power HC (0.11s/31.6kg-cm), RSx2 Response (0.06s/17.6kg-cm) and RSx2 Power (0.11s/31.6kg-cm) with the HC variants coming with an upper aluminium case for added rigidity and durability while the standard items come with reinforced composite upper cases. All servos feature mixed aluminium and steel gears, they are 7.4V compatible, come with gold-plated leads and double ball bearings.

Flash Point nitro racing fuel

Available soon from Mugen Seiki USA is the new Flash Point nitro racing fuel. Specifically developed for today’s nitro racing engines and coming with a special lubrication package to prevent excessive engine wear, the fuel uses only first generation methanol and nitromethane. Good for the use in on-road and off-road cars the juice comes in several specifications and bottle sizes.

GForce X Weight Gauge

GForce X Weight Gauge

GForce soon have their X Weight Gauge available. The device helps to measure and adjust the weight distribution of a wide range of vehicles such as pan cars, touring cars, buggies and trucks. Four independent scales measure the wheel load of each of the tyres while the main unit displays the wheel load, total wheel load as well as the front to rear and left to right weight distribution. The device also displays the ratios making it easier to achieve a certain value. The X Weight Gauge is set for a March release.

The Hudy aluminium rear wing shims are designed to replace standard plastic shims with a cooler looking and more durable alternative. Currently available in silver and orange colour the parts are of a heavily machined design that reduces weight and adds a certain bling factor. The shims fit many 1/8th and 1/10th vehicles as well as off-road and on-road bodies and wings.

Xray T4 graphite 1-hole A-arms

Xray introduce new graphite composite material lower front and rear A-arms for the T4 touring car. The harder and very lightweight graphite material gives improved traction, easier handling, and decreases tyre overheating under high-grip conditions. The arms feature a single shock mounting position and integrated anti-roll bar mounts while retaining the same size and geometry as the standard material 1-hole suspension arm. Included are 4 holes for the optional graphite reinforcement plates.
