Hettrich & Wahl win at BaWü Cup

The BaWü Cup in Konstanz in the South of Germany was one of the first carpet races of the 2012/2013 season and a great opportunity for many teams to try out new parts for the upcoming ETS race in Mühlheim Kerlich. The organizers tried a new track layout for this year with a technical section at the first part of the lap and a more open and flowing part for the remainder of the lap. The new layout was well accepted by the drivers and made for some challenges when setting up the cars. In the stock blinky mode class it was T-Shox team-drivers Tobias Vogel, who won the German Stock Championship, and also Valentin Hettrich who showed a strong practice and also qualifying pace. Valentin took the last two rounds of qualifying and also the TQ spot for the finals. For the A-mains Tobias got the car better and better using the same setup Valentin was using. Valentin was on a roll and took the first two A-mains in style. Tobias however did not give up and took the win in the third and last A-main.

Associated TC6.1 Worlds car kit

The Associated TC6.1 Worlds car kit builds upon the already-successful ROAR and BRCA national championship-winning TC6.1 platform with several performance-enhancing upgrades that boost the car to the next level. The TC6.1 WC is built on a new ultra-narrow 2.25mm-thick carbon-fiber chassis with optimized flex along with maximum chassis-roll ground clearance. The new narrow chassis helps reduce chassis drag during the hardest cornering. Also included in the TC6.1 WC are the Factory Team Vertical Ballstud Bearing Caps. Previously available only as a Factory Team upgrade, the vertical ballstud bearing caps provide finer increments of adjustment. This increased adjustability will allow the racer to tune the suspension with even more precision than before.

Schumacher pistons, SV2 chassis & Supastox diff

Schumacher have launched 3 new pistons for their small bore shocks, something their offroad team have preferred at recent races due to their agility and aggression. The new tapered pistons allow the shock to rebound more quickly than compressing, increasing stability through high speed bumps. The square top edge ensures that the shock still has the correct amount of pack to keep the car stable when landing from jumps. Available with three different hole sizes each in easily identifiable colours, so you always know what your running. New for the Cougar SV2, this S1 Chassis is a more flexible chassis compared to the kit alloy one, it is beneficial on bumpy tracks and low grip/damp conditions. Finally for the SupaStox, is a diff with a CNC machined 48dp 70T gear. The strong solid steel axle combined with an alloy hub/wheel carrier and steel short axle and precision ball bearings allows simple tightness adjustment without the need to disturb the tension when removing the wheel. This version comes with CNC machined 70T 48dp spur.
