Law & Bruce take victory at FSEARA Rd5

Round 5 of the FSEARA (Florida State Electric Auto Racing Association) series took place at K-Raceway in Kissimmee, FL, the same track as the 2004 IFMAR 1/10 & 1/12 worlds. FSEARA at K-Raceway is the event that most racers are waiting for all year and George Martinez did an amazing job in getting the track ready for the weekend. Due to the fast s-turn before the straight, there were many accidents during practices and another problem racers had was overheating motors, the long back straight requiring racers to hold full throttle for 5 sec. With the Florida heat the average temperature of the motor was 200F degree.

Ronald Völker would go on to take the win in A-Main leg one and two and successfully defend his German National title. The last final went to Freddy Südhoff, which secured him the Vice German Champion title. For overall third place there was a close battle between new Yokomo driver Dominik Fleischmann and Yannic Prümper. Both had great battles but in the Final leg Yannic made a mistake and broke his car, giving Dominik the third place overall.

Zeppin Racing TC6.1 & T3 2012 top decks

Zeppin Racing have released new 2mm flex top plates for the Team Associated TC6.1 and Xray T3 2012. The original top plate for the TC6.1 was engineered for firmness and in addition the upper deck is too wide meaning it touches the motor which restricts flexing. This newly designed 2mm thick top deck is 2mm narrower (-1mm each side) to avoid touching the motor, plus extra holes provide a bit more flex in order to improve overall traction. Aiming for more steering on the T3 chassis, they have deliberately made a narrower top deck to increase steering, especially in mid corner.
