JConcepts Finnisher for Associated RC8.2E

JConcepts have released their Finnisher body for the Associated RC8.2E 1/8th Electric buggy. Increased windshield angle provides a steady force upfront during mid-flight wind gusts on large jumps while the forward cab placement changes performance / visible bias which helps steering rotation in low traction corners. The side-pods have a strong and chiseled look, including a recessed area in the rear which allows another option for air-escape. The chassis side-guard to body fit has been tightened up which helps eliminate large empty voids that contribute to mid-flight directional changes. The area behind the cab has been greatly lowered exposing more of the engine heat-sink allowing more heat-escape while the V-stepped feature which is a highlighted styling cue of the Finnisher buggy bodies has been incorporated toward the rear and allows an additional area that can be trimmed to allow air-flow through the body.

Avid Avert TLR22 Spring Cups

Avert aluminium spring cups from Avid are made for the TLR22, adding extra security to your ride without sacrificing weight or putting a huge dent in your racing budget. Featuring a unique angled slot design they add 2 elements of safety. A rigid aluminium spring cup won’t flex and spread open, slipping off of the shock end in a crash, while the angled slot design adds another element of interference to keep the spring cups from popping off in a crash. The spring cup must lift completely off of the eyelet for removal. Weighing in at 1.3g each they are made from 6061-T6 aluminium and black anodized.

Serpent 1/8 scale buggy rims

Serpent have released their new lightweight and very durable 1/8 scale buggy rim. Designed by Billy Easton, this large diameter 83mm rim with has just the right amount of flex for maximum performance. The outer edge of the rim moves inward a little to help the glue flow towards the tyre, while the inner rim flanges help stability of the rim and keep the foam inserts in place and stable. Inside the rim there is extra ribs to create the required flex and durability and they flow into the wheel-hex center to increase stiffness and have a strong surface area around the wheel nuts. Available in white or neon yellow, each wheel weighs only 32 grams each.

Pro-Line Black Diamond shock shafts

More new items from Pro-Line with the release of these Black Diamond shock shafts for the TLR22, B4.1 and B44.1 racing buggies. After months of research, development and testing Pro-Line has produced what they believe is the best performing high-end racing shock shafts ever produced. Starting with the highest grade USA forged Alloy, the shaft is then precision centerless ground and machined to absolute tolerances and finish specifications using CNC machines in the USA. They then roll form the threads instead of cutting in the threads for the highest strength threads possible and then coated each shaft with Black Diamond DLC coating. This coating creates a much harder surface than standard TiNitride shaft coatings and delivers a 10 times smaller Coefficient of Friction for the smoothest shock action that has ever been achieved. As mentioned previously, for 1/10th buggies Pro-Line have officially released their popular Crimefighter and Bow Tie thread in 4wd front and 2/4wd rear tire form respectively.

Pro-Line Cat SX3 & Cougar SV2 shells

Pro-Line have introduced the BullDog body for the Schumacher Cat SX3 4wd and Cougar SV2 Pro 2wd buggies. Pro-Line took great care in refining the design for 2012 to create even more stability with enhanced steering to gain an advantage on the track. The windshield is steeper to create more down force over the front wheels and the roof ridges have been raised to channel the air flow over the middle of the body for increased high-speed stability. The rear of the roof has been lowered and fins have been added to achieve stable air flow over the body. The fins also add rigidity to the body to increase aerodynamic efficiency.
