Myron Kinnard wins USVTA at Indoor Champs

The 2017 U.S. Indoor Champs was held at the Embassy Suite Hotel outside Cleveland, Ohio. It is one of the oldest on-road carpet events with almost 40 years under its belt. The event has become more popular over the last few years, with entry count going over the 400 mark, this year reaching 496, just a few shy of 500. Reigning USVTA National Champion Adam Hutchinson took TQ in the opening two USVTA qualifiers while round 3 belonged to Myron Kinnard. Q4 again went toMyron and Sunday, main event day he knew he needed to pull away before the first corner, and with a slight adjustment in his normal drive line, he was able to do so. Clean start and another 20/5:01 with 98% insured the Championship that he lost last year by less than 0.082 would not be a repeat.Myron turned in three identical runs back to back to back to finally take home the USIC VTA title with TQ. With two of his teammates right behind me making it a clean sweep for Team Associated with Tom second and Will third.

Reedy Sonic 866 & 877 1/8th brushless motors

Coming from Reedy are two new Sonic-series 1/8th scale competition electric brushless motors in the form of the 866 and 877. The Sonic 866, available in two kV versions, is designed for 1/8th eBuggies while its slightly longer brother, the Sonic 877, is intended for 1/8th eTruggy duty. However, motors are interchangeable between chassis types to create a wide range of performance options suitable for a wide variety of track conditions. All versions feature a precision machined case with an integrated heat sink to lower operating temperatures. This results in less fade over the course of a race, longer run times, and increased motor life. Sensored operation results in a smooth and controllable power band, while a powerful 4-pole rotor is supported by precision ball bearings for maximum power output and reliability.
