JJ Wang wins KO Propo Nitro Sedan Race

With the 200mm worlds championship cancelled due to the global pandemic, Steel City Raceway hosted the KO Propi Race in Fontana, California last weekend. Mugen Seiki’s JJ Wang would win the nitro sedan class. Due to travel restrictions, JJ’s long-time mechanic Ai was not able to travel to assist at this major nitro event in America. Mugen USA team manager Brian Thomas stepped up and assisted JJ to take the win over Capricorn’s Paolo Morganti. Serpent’s Bryce Butterfield completed the podium in third place. Jimmy Qian wins RCI V2 touring car race

The RCI V2 indoor facility in Shanghai, China held an electric touring car race last weekend, attracting drivers to compete in a single 13.5T touring class. Jimmy Qian took the overall TQ and with wins in A1 and A3 he also snatched the overall win from A2 2inner, Simon Wang in 2nd. Hua came in 3rd overall to round out the top 3 result. JJ Wang wins at Full Throttle Championship

The RC Car Club of America RCCA track in Fort Worth, Texas held the Full Throttle Championship this past weekend, attracting 110 entries from Texas, California, Canada and Arizona to battle it out in several electric on-road classes. In Touring Modified it was Xray’s Chris Adams with the overall TQ but when the dust had settled it was Xray’s JJ Wang with the overall win from Chris on the runner-up spot. Clean sweep for Nagashima at OneTen Shanghai

Completing the perfect weekend, topping all sessions over both rounds 5 and 6 of the OneTen Series in RCI V2, Yugo Nagashima took a commanding win in the 8-minute A-main after the battle with JJ Wang failed to materialise, despite the American putting in the fastest lap of the race. Nagashima is OneTen Rd6 Top qualifier

Completing the qualifying double this weekend, Yugo Nagashima is once again the top qualifier here in Shanghai, the Serpent driver topping the times in Q2 and 3 to secure his second pole position in as many days. Again he was pushed hard by JJ Wang, the American leading for half of the 3rd qualifier before being passed in the dying stages by the Japanese racer. Round 6 starts with first qualifier to Nagashima

Having dominated proceedings yesterday in round 5 of the OneTen Series, Yugo Nagashima made his intentions of a double known early as he took the opening qualifier here at RCI V2. Although kept honest by the following JJ Wang, the American was just not able to match the pace of the Serpent driver and ended up 7 tenths back in the 4-minute encounter. A1 in Shanghai goes to Yugo Nagashima

It was clear win for Yugo Nagashima in the opening A-main here at RCI V2 for the 5th round of the OneTen Series presented by Infinity. The Serpent driver took the lead from the start and was never headed for the remainder of the final.
