Shasa Lackner dominates Swiss 1/8th Nats Rd1

Last weekend saw the opening round of the Swiss Championship take place in Lostallo, home of last year’s World Championships. Qualifying saw Motonica team driver Shasa Lackner take the pole position with a fastest lap of 19.90 seconds, the only driver to go under the magical 20 seconds, to end up 3 seconds clear of 2nd place qualifier Silvio Hächler. Simon Kurzbuch and Luca Martinelli completed the top 4 direct qualifiers following the 7 minute heats. Mattia Pesenti wins Swiss 1/8th Nats Rd2

This past weekend saw the 2nd round of the Swiss 1/8th scale Championship take place in Aigle, in the French part of Switzerland, which is a nice track but very dangerous due to very little run off. On Saturday the weather wasnt so good and they only managed 2 rounds of qualifying before it started to rain. Simon Kurzbuch wins Swiss Nats Rd6

The final round of the Swiss 1/8th scale Nationals was run last weekend in Langenthal in the North of the country. Qualifying for the Expert class saw Simon Kurzbuch take the pole position by 2 seconds from Thomas Henzi, while Christophe Pethoud and Mattia Pesenti rounding out the top 4. In the 45 minute final, Simon was unstoppable, the Serpent driver winning by 2 laps from Henzi in 2nd and Pethod 3rd, a further 3 laps behind. Marco Müller wins Rd2 Swiss 1/8th Nats

Last weekend saw the 2nd round of the Swiss 1/8th scale National Championships run in the west of the country in the town of Aigle. Qualifying saw the pole position go to Serpent racer Shasa Lackner, ahead of Novarossi team mate Marco Müller in 2nd, with Christophe Pethoud and Mattia Pesenti rounding out the top 4. Geisendorf takes Rd5 of Swiss 1/8th Nats

The 5th round of the Swiss 1/8th scale Nationals were run last weekend at the fast, but tight, Schaffhausen track in the north of the country. The event saw the pole position go to Serpent 960 driver Markus Geisendorf in a rain interrupted qualifying, with 2nd spot going to Motonica racer and round 3 winner Mattia Pesenti. Mueller takes Rd4 of Swiss 1/8th Nats

Last weekend saw the 4th round of the Swiss 1/8th scale Championship take place on the Lostallo track, host of this months European 1/8th scale Championships, and our man Mattia Pesenti was once again in action with his Novarossi powered Motonica and he has provided us with this report. Last weekend saw the 3rd round of the Swiss 1/8th scale Championship take place on the Sitterdorf track and our man Mattia Pesenti was once again in top form with his Novarossi powered Motonica and he has provided us with this report. Last weekend saw the 2nd round of the Swiss Championship take place in Wallisellen, near Zurich, the same track which held the EC-B 1/8 in the 1998.
