Tamiya Grasshopper 2005 Candy Green 2WD buggy kit

Tamiya have announced the soon return of their 2005 Grasshopper Candy Green 2WD buggy kit. The latest re-release of the popular 1980’s buggy features a pre-painted TS52 candy green body shell and it uses the iconic tub chassis, independent front and rigid axle rear suspension, a simple drivetrain powered by a 380-size brushed motor as well as front rib and rear sand paddle tyres mounted on white multi-piece rims. Louth RCCC Schumacher Winter Series Rd4 – Report

…Paul Vincent – Schumacher In the MTC/Tamiya class a few additional entries would shake up the class. Lisa Keen set the initial pace with her Xpress chassis, Simon Babb would show strong with his 2WD Tamiya. Lee Ward has lead the way all season long, would encounter problems this time out and bring home 3rd, John Yarnell would also encounter issues on his debut run with Xpress. Xray Racing Series Poland Rd2 – Report

…saw a revival with 12 drivers competing in the class. Ultimately it was Arkadiusz Smyk with the TQ and win in front of Norbert Omelanczuk and Jakub Kłapacz . In the 1/14th scale Rally class Rafał Zeljas came out on top of Marcin Amrozik and Tomasz Malkiewicz. Over in the Off-road Modified classes Bartek Zambrzycki (Yokomo) was unstoppable with both TQs and overall wins in 2WD and 4WD. Bartosz Zalewski (Xray) finished 2nd in both modified classes after amazing battles with Bartłomiej Kramża (Xray). The Stock class saw 80 entries alone and in 2WD Buggy it was Pawel Ntkovca (Xray)…

Slovakian 1/10th Buggy Nationals Rd4 – Report

Last weekend the fourth round of the Slovakian 1/10th Electric Buggy Nationals was held at the RC-Commora track in Komarno. Hot weather made for very slippery track conditions and in 2WD Buggy it was Xray’s Lucas Grainer who made the best out of the conditions, taking the TQ and win from Tamiya driver, Michal Nagy in 2nd and Team Associated’s Adam Urban in 3rd. Yeah Racing WR02CB aluminium performance upgrades

Yeah Racing have introduced their new aluminium performance upgrade kit for the Tamiya WR02CB 2WD stunt chassis. The included parts, such as front and rear arms, C-hubs, steering knuckles, rear uprights, front and rear shock towers and many more will greatly improve the overall durability of the car while also allowing for added tuneability thanks to adjustable steering toe links and multi shock positioning shock towers. Also included are steel CV-style driveshafts for improved drivetrain efficiency and durability. Tamiya Lunch Box Mini – Coming soon

On show during this week’s Shizuoka Hobby Show is Tamiya’s forthcoming Lunch Box Mini truck on the all-new SW-01 chassis. Resembling the iconic 1/10th scale Lunch Box 2WD monster truck, the 1/24th scale Mini variant comes on a newly developed stunt-type chassis that is usable both indoors and outdoors. To make for a more agile handling the truck will lean in corners which should also add to the overall appearance when running the palm-sized truck. No mention of a release date yet. Absima Summer Championship Rd1 – Report

…In the junior class Sophie Evans was on top form picking up the win from Harry Burrows. With a new points scoring system to put more emphasis on the final results rather than the qualifying and also a bonus point for the fastest lap in the finals, it is Adi Dew who leads TC, John Green leading Tamiya, Danny Conway in 4WD and Jody Howard in 2WD.
