Cockerill & Van Helmond win 2013 Belgium GP

Last weekend was the 23rd running of the annual Belgium GP, under its new name ‘International Race Kampenhout’. The event is very popular, with many people requesting entries, but due to the nature of the event and venue the organisers keep an entry limit of 80 in 2wd and 70 in 4wd, allowing reasonable length days and plenty of track time, with open practice in the days preceding the event. Evens & Keyaerts win Belgian SCT Cup Rd4

Home of the famous Belgian GP, MBV Kampenhout hosted the 4th leg of the Belgian SCT Cup recently. The track is very challenging with a lot of elevation and off camber turns. The 2WD class qualifications saw Nicolas Evens taking TQ with his freshly built 22SCT by winning all 3 qualifiers. Wouter Wynen wins 2012 Belgian GP

The Belgian GP is held each year in early July at the beautiful outdoor astro track in Kampanhout, Belgium. Club manager Willy Heremans and his crew always put on a relaxed, fun, yet competitive race. The track is inside a park and the GP is presented the same weekend as a big festival, so there is plenty of food and Saturday night features lots of loud music well into the night. Jörn Neumann wins 4wd at Belgium GP

The annual Belgium GP for 10th scale buggies took place this past weekend at the Kampenhout track that has played host to the event since its origins in 1989. Team Durango’s Jörn Neumann took the opening round of 4WD qualifying and looked good throughout the day to sit second on the grid for the 3-leg A final. Tom Cockerill does double at Belgian GP

Schumacher are reporting on last weekend’s Belgian GP at MBV Kampenhout. This is an annual event held in a park that coincides with a many other local activites, making it a very popular meeting, that quickly becomes over subscribed when entries open. About 18 English drivers made the trip over and all thoroughly enjoyed the meeting. Schumacher UK Team Driver Tom Cockerill was one of the Brits that made the trip over. Ilia van Gastel dominates Dutch EFRA GP

Last weekend saw the EFRA Grand Prix 1/8 IC on road run at the beautiful AMCA track in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands. A relatively low attendance of drivers for a GP, but with plenty of famous names of European top drivers attending it was sure to be very close racing for everybody and a highly competitive event. Stefan Mesker wins Benelux series Rd2

X Factory are reporting that team driver Stefan Mesker captured TQ honors and won all three A mains at the second round of the Belgian/Dutch Championship series last weekend at Kampenhout, Belgium. The runner up spot went to Wouter Wynen while 3rd spot went to X-Team driver Bruno Heremans, and six X-6 Squareds were in the A including the first, third, and fifth qualifiers. Daniel van der Drift wins Dutch GP

The Dutch 1/10th scale 200mm EFRA GP took place last weekend at the MACH track in Heemstede and it saw competitors from a number of different countries battle it out on this challenging track.
