Pro-Line Tazer RR & Hole Shot FR 1/10th tire

Pro-Line have released the Tazer for 1/10th buggy a race tire that provides unmatched forward bite in loose and dusty track conditions without the undesired edginess. The Tazer features large overlapping center treads that will last throughout the long A-mains and perfectly sized lugs that will propel you to the top of the podium. Available for the rear they come in M3 and M4 compounds. Also new is the Hole Shot 1/10th 2wd front tire in M3 and M4 compounds. If you race your buggy outdoors, then you need the new Hole Shot. Unlike the typical ribbed front tire, these 2WD fronts are super smooth while still maintaining all the steering you need. Ribbed fronts are known for doing the catch-and-grab at the wrong time leading to inconsistent handling. Marcus Lübke takes German National double

Last weekend the EMC Wehrheim e.V. was host of the German Championship in 1:10 Electric Off-Road 2WD Short Course and 2WD Truck. The weather was fantastic and the 77 drivers enjoyed the well prepared high grip American style clay track. After 5 rounds of qualifying Absima Team C Team driver Marcus Lübke topped the ranking lists in both classes to start the finals from the TQ spot. Completing a great race season Marcus won all three finals in Truck as well as the first and third A Final in SC, giving his Team mate Tom Maquel the second A final win. Marcus got crowned Double German Champion 2012 with his TeamC TC02T and TS2 Trucks with Tom finishing second in SC.

2012 Summer Showdown report

The 2012 Summer Showdown presented by Scotty Ernst was run this past weekend at Clark RC Park in Reeseville, WI. Fantastic racing all day long with exciting mains that were decided on the last lap. Expert Truggy had Jeremy Whiting take the TQ and lead the field out. A battle between Whiting, Jeff Wood and Jeff Stanford ensued as the 30 minute main got under way. Stanford unfortunately suffered mechanical issues keeping him out of the race and Jeremy Whiting opened up a lead. With only minutes left in the race Whiting had a tire come unglued and it looked as if disaster would strike but ace pitman Vic Elliot changed the tire on a pit stop fast enough to allow Whiting to keep the lead and take home the victory. Jeff Wood finished 2nd and Dave Bengtson finished in the 3rd spot.

Exotek TLR22 1mm tranny spacer set

New from Exotek is this fiberglass 1mm transmission spacer set for the TLR 22, 22SCT and 22T. The set raises the transmission 1mm for better forward traction and is designed for easier install and removal compared to loose washers.

We have uploaded the full 45 minute A-main video (above) from yesterday’s finals day of the European 1/8th scale offroad Championships in Fehring, Austria. Bloomfield gives TLR first European title

The 32nd 1:8 Offroad European Championships was a race of firsts in Fehring, Austria as Darren Bloomfield won a thrilling last lap battle with Kyosho’s David Ronnefalk to become the first British driver to win the title as well as securing his first ever European title and giving Team Losi Racing and his tyre sponsor AKA their first crown in EFRA’s longest running championship. Bloomfield’s 1.9 second win over Ronnefalk, who retains his European Junior title, brings Mugen’s four year reign as manufacturers’ champion to an end as outgoing champion Robert Batlle had to settle for the final step on the podium.

Ronnefalk on pole at Euros

16-year-old reigning European Junior Champion David Ronnefalk will start the Main final at the 2012 1:8 Offroad European Championships from pole position after the Swede won his Semi in a faster time than that of reigning champion Robert Batlle’s Semi winning time.
