Christophe Aygon wins French 8th Nats Rd4

Round 4 of the French 1/8th scale on road Nationals was run last weekend in Limoges, close to the the centre of the country. With the winner of the first 3 rounds, Adrien Bertin busy helping at the Euro ‘B’ Championships in Switzerland, the series would be sure of having a new winner this round. Qualfiying in the Elite class went the way of Serpent/RB driver Anthony Abisset debuting the new 966, followed by Stéphane Bouche, Romain Picard and Laurent Pageneau, while in the National class another Serpent 966 driver topped the time sheets, Arnaud Mathieu, in front of Jérôme…

Mickael Pontal wins French 10th Nats Rd3

Round 3 of the French 1/10th scale gas nationals was held last weekend at Bourg en Bresse in the east of the country, close the to Swiss border, with sunny conditions all weekend for the 104 competitors attending. Qualifying for the Elite class saw Thomas Eytard take the top spot ahead of Basile Concialdi in 2nd, Arnaud Chaussard in 3rd and the final direct qualifier was Thomas Desmaries in 4th. The National class qualifying went the way of Anthony Bruyer ahead of Cédric Guillaud in 2nd, with Ludovic Cesar and Benjamin Brasset rounding out the top 4. In the Elite

Adrien Bertin makes it 3 from 3 in France

The 3rd round of the French 1/8th scale National Championship took place in Evry at the MRTE track near Paris. Nice weather greeted the 62 drivers in attendance and following qualifying it was winner of the first 2 rounds, Adrien Bertin who tool pole in the Elite class ahead of Stéphane Bouche in 2nd, while in the National class Gérald Colinet was the man to beat in front of Jérémy Becht. In the 45 minute Elite final the front pair took off ahead of the rest of the field, but a mistake in the chicane by Bouche saw him crash…

Renaud Savoya takes Rd2 in France

…French 1/8th scale buggy Nationals was held at the Angouleme track in the west of the country. Qualifying for the Elite class went the way of European Champion Renaud Savoya, lining his Mugen up ahead of Yannick Aigoin and Guillaume Vray in 2nd and 3rd respectively. In the hour long race it was a battle of attrition that Savoya won, taking the chequered flag 4 laps ahead of Losi driver Y. Aigoin, whose had hit troubles during the race losing him a lot of time. Arnaud Chaussard wins French 10th Nats Rd2

The 2nd round of the French 1/10th scale 200mm Championships was held last weekend in Herrlisheim close to the German border. Qualifying in the Elite class went the way of Kyosho man Mikael Pontal, with Thomas Desmaries the only driver able to challenge him with his Mugen in 2nd, while in the National class it was Anthony Bruyer that came out on top, the only driver to take 19 laps in this class to start ahead of Xray team mate Arthur Leclercq. In the Elite final, pole man Pontal lead the way from Desmaries who had a rear belt failure…

Adrien Bertin wins French 8th Nats Rd2

The 2nd round of the French 1/8th scale Nationals was held last weekend in Concarneau in the very north west tip of the country. Great weather on all days of the race greeted the 43 drivers and following qualifying it was round 1 winner Adrien Bertin that took the top qualifier spot in the Elite class ahead of Stéphane Bouche in 2nd and Stéphane Riccobono 3rd, while in the National class it was Gérald Colinet who was quickest ahead of Arnaud Mathieu. Basile Concialdi wins French 10th Nats Rd1

The opening round of the French 1/10th scale Nationals took place last weekend in Monteux in the south of France. The weather was dry all weekend with 18 degrees temperatures on the finals day and there was 87 drivers in attendance, split between Elite and National classes.
