LaTrax Desert Prerunner 1/18th 4WD racing truck

Traxxas have introduced the new LaTrax Desert Prerunner 1/18th scale 4WD racing truck. In full-scale motorsport, drivers first get a feel for the course in a prerunner. Prerunners are street-legal monsters with huge suspension travel, fortified drivetrains, and massive power. A prerunner must be built strong enough to tackle the toughest courses, while still being manageable on the street. The LaTrax Desert Prerunner packs these race-bred features into a convenient, take-anywhere, 1/18th scale size. Like full-size vehicles, the LaTrax Prerunner is built to be fast and nimble while being extremely durable and able to withstand the rigours of all-terrain racing action. Equipped with a powerful motor, independent suspension, and 4-wheel drive, the Prerunner is Ready-To-Race right out of the box. The all-weather electronics defeat the elements—driving through mud, snow, and water. Oil-filled shocks soak up the bumps and jumps, and provide smooth suspension movement over any terrain. The set is rounded out by an iD-equipped 7.2V NiMH battery pack and an AC wall charger.

Mark Sousa wins Pro Nitro Buggy at King of Kings race

Stateline Raceway held the King of Kings race this past weekend and it was Mark Sousa who would take the win in the Pro Nitro Buggy A-main. Qualifying 4th on the grid, Mark had a good battle with Tyler Jones for 2nd in the opening stages before Tyler would make a mistake and Mark was able to get around him and was behind Dakota Phend by 8 seconds until Dakota broke his car. At that point Collin Weatherholt got around Mark for the lead and the two battled for a bit. Mark was able to get around him after Colin pitted but unfortunately he flamed out coming out of pit lane and that left Sousa to battle with Austin Horne for the win. Two two went back and forward but Mark Sousa (Xray) was able to open it up at the very end to take the win from Austin Horne (Team Associated) 2nd and Collin Weatherholt (TLR) 3rd.
