Carlos Peracho wins at Spanish IC Track Nats Rd3

This past weekend the third round of the Spanish Nitro On-road National Championship was held at the Asociación de Getafe de radiocontrol club in Madrid. The race saw high temperatures and high traction and during Saturday’s qualifying and in the 1/8th class there was a great fight for the pole position that was decided in the final round with Carlos Peracho Heras ultimately coming out on top, setting a new track record in the process. The race for the win in the main final was then on between Carlos and Guillermo. Both were on different strategies with Carlos opting for two tyre stops while Guillermo only did a single pit stop for tyres. The battle went on until engine trouble hit Guillermo, allowing Carlos to win the race in front of Alberto Alonso in 2nd and Sergio Montesinos 3rd, making it an all-Shepherd podium. Elsewhere in the 40+ final Miguel Delgado (Shepherd) took the winning honours.

Darren Bloomfield was quickest in the latest round of practice at the European Championships in Sweden, the Agama driver topping the times for FP3 from reigning champion Elliott Boots.  While improving on his time from the opening practice, the British driver finding over 2-seconds, he couldn’t better David Ronnefalk’s pace from the second round which still stands as the fastest 3-consecutive laps of the Gröndal Ring track.  The first time we got an official time for Boots as he ran without a transponder in the first two, the Kyosho driver ran almost an identical time with a 2:01.630 compared to Bloomfield’s 2:01.613.  Behind the two Brits, Xray’s Yannick Aigoin would set the the fourth fastest time overall ahead of Robert Battle.  Portuguese driver João Figueiredo had a good FP3 run to complete the Top 6 with one round of free practice remaining that will bring Day 1’s proceedings to a close.

Yeah Racing TRX-4 stainless steel centre driveshafts

Coming from Yeah Racing and made for Traxxas’ TRX-4 trail truck is a stainless steel front and rear centre driveshaft set. The upgrade is meant for modellers who like to run their vehicle on extreme terrain as the stainless steel construction does away with the chance of plastic driveshafts snapping. The design features a locking ring which provides extra durability and also introduces the possibility of replacing the ring when it’s worn out. The construction also results in a much more scale representation of real life driveshafts found in these types of trucks. The set includes front and rear centre shafts and it is available in red or black colour.
