Team Associated introduce new SC10.3 RTR trucks

Coming from Team Associated are the SC10.3 Lucas Oil Brushless and JRT Brushless RTR short course trucks. Features include a water-resistant high-power Reedy brushless speed control, Reedy 3300kV brushless motor, and a water-resistant enclosed receiver box. The suspension received an upgrade with the addition of adjustable blue anodised aluminium V2 coil-over shocks while the gearbox now comes with a heavy-duty sealed gear differential and the externally adjustable V2 slipper clutch. The short-course hex-drive wheels come standard on the SC10.3 with high-traction racing compound rear tyres for more grip.

MIP TLR 22 carbide diff rebuild kit

MIP have introduced the carbide diff rebuild kit for all TLR 22 series vehicles. This package includes tungsten carbide diff balls, diff rings, a 2-piece captured thrust assembly, machined aluminium T-nut, as well as a new spring and screw. The entire diff rebuild combo pack replaces all necessary diff components and it fits all 22 series buggies and trucks.

Capricorn P1-235 front chassis plate

Coming from Capricorn and made for the P1-235 1/10th scale pan car is a new front chassis plate. The updated design allows to move the servo towards the front end of the car, leaving enough room to fit a standard-size LiPo in the battery compartment and not being limited to shorty battery packs. As a result more powerful motors can be used while also allowing to play more with weight distribution.

Schroeder wins at North German IC Track regionals Rd3

The MAC Hamburg club played host to the third round of the North German 1/8th nitro on-road regionals, qualifying events for the German Championships later this year. In the 30 minute main final, Timo Schroeder, driving a Shepherd, at first had so settle for 2nd position until he was able to take over the lead due to a different fuel strategy. In the final minutes of the race Timo was chased by Serpent’s Merlin Depta but he brought home the victory with a margin of only 0.2 seconds in front of
Merlin on the runner-up spot and Shepherd racer Lennart Skornia in 3rd.

Chris Nielsen wins at Danish 200mm Nationals Rd2

This past weekend round 2 of the Danish 200mm National Championship was held at the fun and flowing Odense track. The practice rounds saw Claus Ryeskov setting the pace with his three fastest consecutive laps in front of Rene Kjellerup in 2nd, some 0.9s down. Chris Nielsen came in 3rd, another 0.4s behind. In qualifying it was again Claus Ryeskov who set the pace, claiming the TQ position by winning the first three rounds. Chris Nielsen TQ’ed round 4 to line up in 2nd. RenĂ© Kjellerup had to settle for the 3rd spot, after two good runs in Q1 and Q2.

Schiffner & Krause take 2017 German Truggy titles

The 2017 German Truggy Championship was held at the MRC Leipzig track over the weekend. In the Nitro Truggy class it was Agama driver Ronny Schiffer who took a maiden truck title from young Johannes Klatt (Mugen). TLR driver Sascha Nelson came in 3rd to round out the podium.

Infinity IF14 aluminium cooling fan mount

Creation Model has produced a limited run aluminium cooling fan mount for its Infinity IF14 electric touring car. The mount, which comes complete with a 40mm fan, fixes to the chassis behind the motor and is held in place with a single screw and incorporated mounting pin. This method of securing the mount to the chassis minimises any effects on chassis flex. Also able to take a smaller 30mm fan, two screws fix the fan to the red anodised aluminium mount.

Patrick Hofer sweeps Swiss 1/8th Nitro Buggy Nats Rd4

Round 4 of the Swiss 1/8th Nitro Buggy Nationals was held in Montagny this past weekend. Patrick Hofer would take the TQ position after the qualifiers and following a rain-interrupted Sunday morning he would claim the P2 spot for the 45-minute main final after the semis. In the main and shortly after the start Patrick was able to get into the lead and from there he never looked back to take a commanding win, leaving Jeremy Pittet and David Naldini behind in 2nd and 3rd respectively.
