Anders Mikkelsen wins Norwegian National Cup Rd2

The second round of the Norwegian Nitro Touring series was hosted by the Lorenskog RC Club just outside of Oslo. Anders Mikkelsen had a perfect day, taking the TQ, A-main win and the fastest lap of the event. The main final had four short periods with some rain, making the track slippery and the driving conditions very challenging which lead to many position mix-ups but in the end Anders managed to get back into the lead and brought home the win with Andre Røine in 2nd and Hans Nikolaisen in 3rd place.

Darren Bloomfield takes Paddy Piston Race 2017

The BADMCC club recently held their popular Paddy Piston Race. A favourite for many, with the great track to race on, the fair challenge of a control tyre and the good humoured nature of the entire event this year’s edition was no exception. With the busy run up of the event complete, the Friday afternoon practise session was underway and the track was in fantastic shape, the track work undertaken by the team at BADMCC is truly unmatched and this is shown in the presentation and standard upheld by the race circuit. Milan Dragojlovic (HB Racing) would take the overall TQ from Agama’s Darren Bloomfield 2nd and Gary Baird 3rd. After being called onto the rostrum one by one, the countdown for the 1-hour main final soon started and they were off. Darren soon took the lead and started to develop a very large lead of the 2nd place driver. Towards the end of the final, lower position switched around and Andrew McClean (Agama) snatched the 3rd place podium spot from Jon Hazelwood (Agama) in 4th. This all stuck true till the flag dropped, with Darren taking a convincing win from Milan in 2nd and Andrew 3rd.

David Ehrbar signs with Arrowmax

Arrowmax have announced the signing of Serpent designer, David Ehrbar to their team. The German will be using the full line of Arrowmax tools, accessories and LiPo batteries and he will also be responsible for testing future Arrowmax products. David had the following to say:

The stylish and practical Arrowmax tools are well known within the industry. These tools are exceptional light, and use very tough tool tips. So they are perfect to keep the weight of the racing luggage low, and even more important they are perfect to work on the car. At the same time they are very stylish and using the whole Arrowmax line of tools makes your pit space look very exclusive. I consider it as a logical step to use the Arrowmax tools. But as a racer it was almost more important for me to make the step to the Arrowmax LiPos. Slightly less known in the market, these high quality LiPos with their high power and high discharge rate (up to 130C) will be a good help for me to fight for the top positions in the F1 class, and at the same time deliver the reliable and constant power for my racing and testing in the touring car modified class. I will work closely together with the factory to test and work on future products. I am proud to be a part of this ambitious team.
