Pro-Line Wide Wedge & Wedge T front tyres

Pro-Line have introduced the Wide Wedge 2WD buggy and Wedge T truck front tyres to complement the already existing range of Wedge carpet and astro turf tyres. Starting with the 2WD buggy tyre, the Wide Wedge brings the popular Wedge tread pattern to a tyre carcass that fits on standard 2WD front wheels, doing away with cutting wheels or needing special narrow 2WD front wheels. The extra tyre width allows for an additional row of tread which Pro-Line used to make the tyre directional, meaning the tyre can be mounted for either more aggressive steering or less. The Wide Wedge has a true drop-in bead that does not require cutting or hand fitting and it is of a super low-profile. The tyre is available in Z3 medium and Z4 soft compound.

WRC NTX 1.1 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road kit

Italian company WRC have introduced their all-new NTX 1.1 1/10th 200mm nitro on-road car kit. The vehicle utilises a 3mm 7075 aluminium chassis with a 2.5mm carbon fibre upper deck and a composite rear bumper and diffuser unit for increased suspension protection and improved aerodynamics. The suspension parts are of a symmetrical design to reduce the number of parts needed to carry to races and an innovative floating radio plate design ensures optimised chassis flex for both high traction and improved steering response. The front steering spindles and rear uprights are of a multi-piece design to allow fine-tuning using optional parts while ensuring maximised rigidity and included in the kit is also WRC’s “spring-less” magnetic brake return system that provides a free-spinning drivetrain. Also part of the package are sliding centre balance weights that attach to the chassis below the fuel tank. The kit is rounded out by a set of composite gears for the front differential and metal gears for the rear diff which results in a low weight and high durability.

Coelho aiming to wrap it up at Hudy Arena

The Yokomo Euro Touring Series travels to rc racing’s bucket list topping Hudy Arena this weekend (16-18 June) but unlike previous visits to the home of Xray the event will not mark the traditional conclusion to the season for the world famous touring car championship. Now scheduled in as Round 5 of 6, the ETS’ fifth trip to Slovakia however looks likely to decide the Season #10 champion with Bruno Coelho already within hands reach of successfully defending his title. The only one who can attempt to deny Coelho form celebrating one of the sport’s most coveted titles on Sunday night is World Champion Ronald Volker. With Coelho having three wins from four races, Volker is the only other winner this season but the Yokomo driver needs to dominate on a track where he has only won once before when the ETS made its first visit in 2013. Coelho on the other hand has never failed to win at his ‘home track’ since making his championship debut and would love to wrap up the title with that record remaining intact.

In the opening A-main things looked a bit different though with Daniel having a bobble in the opening stages that resulted in a popped front link, allowing Petter to win the leg in front of Steffen Larsen and Roger Berntsen.
