More new stuff from Pro-Line who have sent us this sneak peak at their all new drift shell, the Tansou. We have no other details apart from the fact that is a 190mm wide shell and it is soon to be released.

With practice now over at the rain affected European 1/10th scale 200mm ‘B’ Championships in Lostallo Switzerland, a lot of drivers have had less than 30 minutes track time on this demanding track due to the weather before qualifying got underway. Friday’s action went better for the 110 drivers who got some dry track running and many were surprised that it had maintained its grip level despite it having been so wet the previous days.

To all those drivers interested in getting some track time at this year’s Touring car World Championship track in Burgdorf, Germany, the track are hosting a Pre Worlds from the 28th to the 30th of May. Having already attracted entries from the top European drivers, there will also be 3 World Champions from Japan present, including Atsushi Hara, Naoto Matsukura and Hayato Matsuaki. Last weekend the Trophy Mugen Seiki race took place at the Riccione track in the centre of Italy. Qualifying in the 1/8th scale category saw the pole position go to Alessandro Bracci, ahead of Michele Romagnoli, Sandro Sammarini and Paolo Maggioli completing the top 4. In the final it was a clear win for young Serpent driver Sandro Sammarini by 3 laps ahead of Manuel Tordi in 2nd and pole man Alessandro Bracci taking the final podium step in 3rd.

Having covered the super stock class at the third round of the Belgian Nationals in Zwevegem, we now have the modified class report. In the EFRA class it was Olivier Bultynck who took the pole in front of Thomas Stockman and Manuel Henriet. In the first final, Olivier took a clean start and the lead with Stockman and Henriet following. Olivier was very fast and Thomas tried to follow but made a mistake that allowed Manuel to take over he chase but Olivier was gone. The battle for second place was hard and fair and saw Manuel also make a mistake. It was Rico Claeys who drove as second for a little while but Nick Joosens came back and took second place away from Rico. But Thomas was fighting back and overtook Nick. Olivier was far in front and took the win in front of Thomas and Nick.
With the EFRA European ‘B Championships getting underway this week at the beautiful Lostallo track in Switzerland, we received this brief practice update. Wednesday saw most of the drivers present but the track was still wet until the afternoon. Already a few drivers were getting their first laps on the wet track and from 4 o’clock the track was completely dry. From that point on, most of the drivers couldn’t wait to get their first laps in on the large MRTM track. Even though it rained all Tuesday the grip was pretty good and fast laps were being put on the score board. Setting those quickest laps were Quentin Leroux, Thomas Gunsel, Mathieu Wolyarmoz, Joe Kerry and Traugott Schar, all running laptimes under 22 seconds. Just as soon as it dried, it rained again and practice for Wednesday was over. We will be bringing you reports from the track throughout the weekend up until the finals on Sunday so stay tuned.

New from Italian company Capricorn is this kevlar pulley set for their LAB-C01 200mm chassis. These low friction pulleys provide better and smoother rotation of the drivetrain and are available for all pulleys except for the rear axle. Also new from Capricorn is their droop blocks and matching droop gauge, as well as a new ride height gauge which has values in 0.5mm increments.
Round 3 of the Belgian nationals took place at the MRCZ track in Zwevegem. In the Super stock class, run with 10.5T Speedpassion motors, it was last years champion Geoffrey Vekemans who was fastest in qualifying with his Schumacher, ahead of Werner Broekx and Stephane Roufosse. In the first final the win went to Werner, with Geoffrey in 2nd and Roufosse in 3rd. Leg 2 saw Werner try to follow Vekemans but it was almost impossible as he made no mistakes on his way to the leg win. In the 3rd and deciding leg it was again Geoffrey Vekemans who was un beatable and he won the leg from Stephane Roufosse to take the overall win ahead of Werner Broekx in 2nd and Stephane Roufosse taking 3rd.
