RDRP XB2 brass servo & chassis weights

Available now from Revolution Design Racing Products are the XB2 brass servo and chassis weights. Starting with the chassis weight, it is purpose-designed for Xray’s XB2 and XT2 series of off-road vehicles, made from high-quality brass material and is a direct fit in the vehicle’s electronics compartment. The plate is held in place using the kit’s standard battery mount posts and it slightly raises the electronics but at the benefit of additional 36g of weight that keep the vehicle more planted in high bite or bumpy track conditions. Fixed by only two screws it also allows to easily remove the electronics, such as the receiver and speed controller, for cleaning and maintenance.

Manten & Berkhout win at Dutch 1/8th On-road opener

The opening round of the Dutch 1/8th On-road National Championship was held at the AMC Apeldoorn track last weekend. In the premier NK class it was Arie Manten who took the win in the 30 minute main after getting past Joey Sorber on the last lap thanks to being on a different tyre and fuel strategy. Joey Sorber had to settle for second, 1.2s down on Arie while Jeffrey Rietveld completed the top 3 result one lap down.

Cyril N’Diaye wins at Emerainville League Race

Emerainville near Paris, host of round five of this year’s French Electric On-road Nationals later in September, recently held a round of their Emerainville League series. In the Touring 10.5T Stock class local Awesomatix driver Cyril N’Diaye took the win from Team Magic’s Thomas Vigneron while Yoann Bukowski (Schumacher) rounded out the podium in third.

Elliott Boots wins at BRCA Nitro Truggy Nationals

Round 1 of the BRCA E-Buggy and Nitro Truggy Nationals was held at the Kent Model Car Club over the weekend and in the Truggy class it was Elliott Boots who lead the way. TQing two of the three rounds allowed him to take the pole position for the 30-minute main final in which he would grab a dominant win with a 3-laps margin on the second place driver.

Xray Racing Series Slovakia finale – Report

The final round of the Xray Racing Series Slovakia was held at the Hudy Racing Arean in Trencin over the weekend in both electric on-road and off-road classes. In Touring Modified Olivier Havranek would take the overall TQ despite having radio issues in the second qualifier. He would outperform Xray’s own Martin Hudy on his home track and Olivier would also come out successful after the A-mains despite not finishing the final leg due to a collision with another driver.

HRC Racing 540-size brushed motors

HRC Racing have introduced their new line of 540-size brushed motors for hobby applications. The dual ball-raced and fully rebuildable motors are available in four different windings, including “modified” 13T, “stock” 17T and 19T as well as 60T crawler variants. The motors come pre-wired and they will hit stores in May.

Shepherd Velox F1 2.25mm carbon chassis & pod plate

Coming from Shepherd and made for the Velox F1 formula kit are a 2.25mm carbon fibre chassis and lower pod plate. Developed in cooperation with Shepherd factory driver Olivier Bultynck, the parts, machined from German-made high-quality carbon fibre, offer optimised flex characteristics for outdoor racing on asphalt. The chassis and pod plate have already proven their performance as Olivier took the TQ and runner-up spot at the recent Spanish ETS round held in Madrid. Both the main plate and lower pod plate are available now.

Sanwa PGS-LH SSL programmable low-profile servo

Sanwa have released first information on their forthcoming PGS-LH SSL programmable telemetry low-profile servo. The high-voltage compatible device will pull up to 15.6kg-cm of torque at speeds of down to 0.09s and it utilises a brushless motor and all-aluminium case. It is understood that the servo will sport telemetry features to monitor parameters such as the inner temperature, current and voltage using telemetry compatible Sanwa transmitters. On top of this the servo supports SSR and SHR features. No word on a release date yet but we keep you posted.
