SMJ Kabuto 21XB2 & R21 3.5cc nitro engines

SMJ have introduced the new Kabuto 21XB2 off-road and R21 on-road engines. Starting with the off-road engine, the 21XB2 is available in a Power and Eco variant with he first one being aimed towards racing on high-speed off-road tracks on the the growing 1/8th GT class while the Eco variant is best used on low-grip or bumpy tracks. Both long-stroke engine feature DLC-coated and balanced crankshafts as well as ceramic rear ball bearings. On the carburettor side of things the Power variant is equipped with a 7mm venturi while the Eco engine utilises a smaller 6mm venturi. Both engines come pre-run-in meaning minimal preparation time to get them track-ready.

Team Bianchi Racing 5x7mm washer set

Italian brand TBR have release a 5-sheet set of laser-cut 5x7mm washers. Coming in 0.1mm to 0.5mm thickness, with the 0.3mm sheet also including 7x9mm washers, the sets are usable for a range of applications.

RDRP XB2 brass & aluminium 26 degree front bulkheads

Coming from Revolution Design Racing Products are new 26 degree front bulkheads for the Xray XB2 and XT2 kits. The overall design and material used greatly improves durability while also giving a more solid base for the inner hinge pins and additional weight, resulting in improved lower A-arm support on high-bite to very high-bite tracks. The bulkheads sport laser-etched markings for easy identification with the brass item weighing in at 45g while the alloy item only is a fraction heavier than the standard composite part. As with all of RDRP’s Xray-specific alloy parts the bulkheads are available in either orange or black anodising.

Serpent SF2 alloy chassis & more optional parts

Serpent have released a range of optional parts for the older spec F110 SF2 1/10th formula car. Originally designed for the new SF3 the parts also fit the older SF2 with the range including a black-coated 7075-T6 aluminium chassis, carbon fibre side electronic mounts, a carbon fibre front suspension plate as well as upper and lower aluminium suspension posts. All parts are available from now on.

Shepherd soft-shell jacket

Shepherd have added a new soft-shell jacket to their range of merchandising. Made from black, Teflon-coated and knitted soft-shell with welded microfleece lining the jacket will keep wind and moisture away from the body while two inner and two outer pockets allow to store a multitude of things. Furthermore the jacket features inner headphone wire routing and it comes with embroidered Shepherd logos on the chest and collar. The jacket is available in XS to 3XL sizes from now on.

Xray 1/8th GT on-road kit – Coming soon

Xray have released a first official teaser image of their forthcoming 1/8th GT kit. No details of the car, that is likely based off of Xray’s successful XB8 platform, are known as of yet but expect full details and more images to surface soon.

Adrien Bertin wins French 1/8th On-road Nats Rd2

The second round of the French 1/8th On-road Nationals was held at the Vichi track in central France. Romain Picard would take the TQ on the very technical track in front of Anthony Abisset and Benjamin Brasset. In the opening stages of the 45-minute final Adrien Bertin took over the lead with Romain Picard in second but the latter was later forced into a DNF later due to mishap at the end of the straight. Meanwhile Leo Arnold was able to take the 3rd place at the 20 minute mark but a mistake just before the tyres pit stop cost him some seconds and two positions. In the final 15 minutes, Leo pushed really hard, closing the gap to the 2nd and 3rd place drivers. During the final fuel stop Leo made up some valuable time, allowing him to eventually finishing in 2nd place on the finish line.

Kyosho introduce new RB6.6 option parts

Kyosho Europe have introduced new option parts for the RB6.6 2WD buggy in the form of heavy duty carbon fibre shock towers, a carbon fibre battery brace and a carbon composite rear bulkhead. Starting with the shock towers, the parts are made from 5mm carbon fibre and available are a standard front and a mid motor rear shock tower. Both include mounting hardware for a drop fit. Also new is the carbon fibre battery plate that features different mounting positions for the battery stops, allowing to easily adjust the weight balance. Last but not least comes a carbon composite rear bulkhead set that offers improved rigidity compared to the standard parts.
