Orlowski tops 2WD seeding at DHI Cup

Defending champion Michal Orlowski has topped 2WD Buggy seeding at the DHI Cup presented by LRP. The Schumacher driver posted the fastest 3-consecutive laps in the first of the two rounds of control practice at the Danish event with Marc Rheinard his closest challenger. Little under a tenth of a second off Orlowski’s 55.401 pace, Rheinard would also post his best time in the first round, all drivers reporting high tyre wear due to the tracks low grip. Completing the Top 3 would be Rheinard’s Yokomo team-mate Frederik Hovgaard who was the only driver in the Top 5 to better his opening time in the final practice.

Team Associated & Reedy sign Mark & Ryan Pavidis

Team Associated and Reedy have welcomed Mark and Ryan Pavidis to their team. Mark, 1995 IFMAR 4WD Buggy World Champion with Yokomo and Reedy, has a long winning history with AE and the Reedy brand and following many years with TLR he now comes back, together with his son Ryan, to what he calls his home. Both will campaign Team Associated and Reedy products and Mark has the following to say:

An opportunity presented itself to come back to my racing roots at Associated. The entire program for electric and nitro is very well balanced. So here we are, almost 13 years later, and I am happy to say that Ryan and I will be representing Team Associated and Reedy once again. The memories created racing with Team Associated and Reedy in the late 80’s through the 90’s are unforgettable. I am excited now to give Ryan the opportunity to create those same memories! Ryan and I are both looking forward to sharing this experience, and we want to thank AE for the opportunity to come back home.

Protoform WCICS Rd2 – Report

The Protoform Western Canadian Indoor Championship Series round 2 brought racing excitement to the quiet mountain town of Penticton, B.C. The event was hosted by PRCC and it was only the second race to run the new AAA main finals format. The pace for Touring Modified was pretty clear, with the first two rounds finishing Korgae Scales (Awesomatix) first, Xray’s Blake Bell second, Luke Pittman (Xray) third, and top Privateer Josh Carter 4th. And with Blake taking the final round it would just cement that would also be the final finishing order.
