Made for Serpent’s Project 4X touring car are T-Works’s new hard-coated 4.5mm aluminium pivot balls. Machined from aircraft-grade 7075-T6 material and coming with a hard-coated surface the ball ends offer a low weight and exceptional durability. They are equipped with a 2mm hex head and come in sets of four or 16 pieces.

Murfdogg have released their new Demon X spring car kit. Based on the company’s successful Demon gearbox platform, the new kit represents the next step in high-bite foam tyre sprint car racing. The car features a 2.5mm carbon fibre, engineered flex, dedicated direct-drive chassis that makes for optimised performance in high-traction wet clay, asphalt, and carpet track conditions. Murfdogg’s most complete sprint car offering to date, the Demon X includes a wide cage with newly designed machined side panels, hood, tail tank, lightweight 6×6″ wing and a “pretzel” front bumper system. Coming from Team Associated’s Qualifier Series of RTR vehicles is the SC28 Lucas Oil ready-to-run short course truck. Sporting Carl Renezeder distinctive livery the SC28 comes complete with everything needed in one box – ready to rip around the corners, fly over the jumps and speed across the finish line. The 175mm long 2WD micro truck weighs in at about 100g and it comes including an integrated speed controller/receiver unit, 2.4GHz radio system and the Carl Renezeder replica bodyshell.
Bruno Coelho kicked off the 10th season of the Euro Touring Series & the defence of his title in the best way possible as he ended the opening day in the Czech Republic with a TQ run in the first round of qualifying. The Xray driver topped the times by an impressive 2.2-second margin over Ronald Volker with Viljami Kutvonen making it three different manufacturers at the top of the time sheets in what most drivers are describing as ‘strange’ track conditions. Having topped seeding practice, mistakes would mean Alexander Hagberg would miss out on the 21-lap pace of the Top 3 and get a P4 ahead of Meen Vejrak.

Alexander Hagberg has topped seeding at the opening round of the Yokomo Euro Touring Series in the Czech Republic. Only 11th fastest in the first of the two timed practices, the Xray driver would find much improvement on his second attempt to set the fastest 3-consecutive laps by 0.138 of a second from Tamiya’s Akio Sobue, the Japanese driver also finding a chunk of time. Having been second fastest in TP1, reigning champion Bruno Coelho would better his time but such was Hagberg & Sobue’s improvement he would drop to third. Topping the first practice, Ronald Volker would slide to 6th, the Top 6 separated by just under 4/10ths of a second.

Virtual RC have announced the addition of this year’s IFMAR 1/8th Gas Buggy World Championship track to VRC-Pro. With 2016 IFMAR World Champion David Ronnefalk on the VRC Worlds drivers list, this is your chance to re-live the 2016 IFMAR event in Las Vegas, trying to beat David on his own turf. 3D track designer and artist Tony West was pushed to the limit by the beta test team to make the track as close to the Worlds track as possible, including the many holes and bumps that occurred after all the hard racing during the event. Having to master such a beaten up track will present a new challenge and experience to VRC racers. The 2016 VRC Worlds kick off with 1/10th Short Course trucks on December 6th, then 1/8th E-Buggies will follow on the 13th, and 1/8th Nitro Buggies with David Ronnefalk on the 20th of December.
The inaugural Xray Race Series Australia race was held at Sydney’s Moorebank raceway. 57 entries were received over the three classes, 1/8th, GT and Nitro Tourer. The Saturday was open practise with three rounds of qualifying and bump-up finals on Sunday. Good weather and a well organised meet allowed all the races to be completed with everyone enjoying some close racing and friendly atmosphere. There were even some interstate competitors that flew in from across the country to join in. With the track hosting next year’s nationals it was a good opportunity to get some track time for the non-locals.

Ronald Volker has set the pace in the first timed practice for the season opener of the 10th running of the Yokomo Euro Touring Series in the Czech Republic. Racing at what has been a very happy hunting ground for the German with 5 wins from the 7 times the ETS has travelled to Hrotovice, Volker was fastest over 3-consecutive laps from reigning champion Bruno Coelho with just 3/100ths separating their times. Behind them Viktor Wilck was 3rd fastest a further 3/10ths back with last year’s race winner Marc Rheinard fourth as all drivers reported unexpectedly low levels of traction.
