T-Works X4 Alu Shock Spring Retainer

T-Works has produced these aluminium Shock Spring Retainers for the Xray X4 ’23 1:10 electric touring car.  Machined from high quality aluminium and finished with black anodising, they come as a set of four or as a 2 piece set with a -1mm offset that is for use on the rear shocks only.

Exotek F1 Ultra ’23 bodyshell

Exotek Racing has released a new updated 2023 bodyshell for their F1Ultra 1:10 Formula Kit and similar dimensioned narrow style F1 pans cars.  It should fit other brands of chassis with some trimming for those whose side links are a maximum 113mm wide.  Two scale option side intake styles are included, the scooped RB style via add on molded trims and classic flat style by not using the added trims. Modern design with slim style side pods with the addition of high downforce aero details for good looks and high performance.  Made using premium polycarbonate that is a proprietary custom blended polycarbonate only for Exotek that is much stronger and longer lasting than other similar thickness polycarbonate.  Made of lightweight .7mm polycarbonate, the painted body shown in the pic is only 33g including the paint, stickers and helmet. Sponsor logos shown are not included and shown for artistic purposes only.  Body is sold as clear and unpainted.

Axon HLS Spring “Soft Rate Series”

Japan’s Axon has announced the release of its “HLS Spring” series which boasts a wide range of performance in high grip to low grip conditions. With three variants in the soft rate series of HLS springs, these were used by Akio Sobue and Hayato Ishioka at the 2022 ISTC Touring World Championship in Italy and demonstrated outstanding performance as Sobue took the TC10/2 to a podium finish with Ishioka  joining him in the final.  Use of the springs on the front suspension, gives the “flexibility” of a progressive spring along with the rigid response of a linear spring.

Collins wins Italian Indoor TC Championship

Mattia Collina is the 2023 Italian Indoor Champion for Modified Touring Car, the Schumacher driver claiming the title ahead of Xray’s Alessio Menicucci at RC Landia in Scandiano over the weekend.  The race was the first sanctioned event of the 2023 national sporting calendar for RC Car Racing of ACI Sport, the Italian Motorsport Federation and member of the FIA.  Having secured the overall TQ in qualifying, Collina then converted it into the title after 3 hard-fought finals with EZ Power driver Guido Ristori completing the podium.  In Touring Stock, Orlando Fenili (Team Xray) dominated the day with pole position and overall win, preceding his brother Riccardo Fenili (Team Xray) and Federico Collina (Team Schumacher) on the podium.  In FWD, great emotions for Enrico Rabitti (Bittydesign) who won the title of Italian Indoor Champion after three hard-fought finals ahead of Emiliano Dagliana and Andrea Selva (Awesomatix).  Finally, in GT class, Luca Tassinari (Team Schumacher) took pole and overall win with second place going to Daniele Pacini (Awesomatix) ahead of Andrea Tonini.

D’angelo wins Italian 1:8 GT Championship opener

Alex D’angelo has won the opening round of the AMSCI 1:8 GT Italian National Championship.  The Genius Racing team driver lead a 1-2 for the GTc8.23 and Gimar engine combo, taking the win at the Naxos World track in Sicily from 1:8 Buggy World Champion Davide Ongaro.  A track that will host the EFRA 1:10 Nitro Onroad European Championships later this year, in qualifying it was Natanaele Senesi who would take the overall TQ ahead of Alessio Mazzeo’s Capricorn with D’angelo P3.  Senesi took two of the four rounds of qualifying with his Ielasi Tuned powered Xray but would hit trouble early on in the 45-minute final retiring after just 6-minutes.  Upfront and recording the fastest lap D’angelo would win by 2-laps from Ongaro with the new Raptor Max23 of Loris Luise completing the podium.  In the Nitro Sport Category Fernando Campeti took the win while in electric Andrea Muscolino was the winner.

Italian body producer Mon-Tech Racing has just released a new body for the GT10 category, the RS01.  The shell replicates the GT racing model of the well-known French car manufacturer.  With aggressive shapes, the RS 01 offers absolute performance.  With the RS 01 Mon-Tech Racing offers a model of the highest production quality and performance on the track.  The Rs 01 can be mounted on all 1:10 scale Touring Car chassis and is molded from high quality polycarbonate.  The kit contains pre-cut stickers, window masks and rear wing fixing screws.

J-Tech High Competition Fuel

The Italian brand J-Tech, owned by the Marchetti Model Service and born in 2008 with onroad tyres, has introduced its new high-competition blend of fuel for model cars following two years of testing.  The product and its packaging complies with all directives concerning flammable products and is available in two formulas.  The Power formula contains a mix of synthetic castor oils with relative specific additives for the high performance and carburation stability required by the onroad engines. The second formula is Team. This contains a mix of very high quality lubricating oils with relative specific additives for offroad engines guaranteeing performance and greater autonomy with tank and piston cleaning.

Hong Nor X3GTS 2023 Nitro GT World Edition

Hong Nor has released a video previewing their upcoming 1:8 GT Nitro release, the X3GTS 2023 Nitro GT World Edition.  With 2023 a big year for the onroad category as Sydney hosts the second IFMAR World Championship in October, the brand will be hoping its latest release can capitalise on the World Championship interest and the growing pockets of GT scenes around the world.  Very active in the Asian GT racing market, their own 2022 Hong Nor Master Championship in Taiwan attracted more than 90 entries with Germany’s Toni Gruber taking the win.  From the video the key features of the new car are adjustable angle C-hubs, improve transmission efficiency, quick release radio box, adjustable aluminium rear hub set and a low profile carbon radio tray.  Watch the video here.
