Yokomo YZ-4/YZ-2CA aluminium offset rear hub carriers

Yokomo have introduced the multi-piece zero degree aluminium offset hub carriers for the YZ-4 and YZ-2CA buggies. The hub carriers are machined from black anodised aluminium and their multi-piece design with separate upper camber plates allows to fine-tune the upper camber link length using shims while offering three ball stud positions from stock. Additionally the camber plates can be run in an inner or outer configuration for an even wider setup range. Included in the set are also shorter 66.5mm driveshafts that help to smooth the suspension action on a range of surfaces.

Hobbywing Xerun 42-series SD G2 brushless motors

Available soon from Hobbywing are the all-new Xerun 4268SD G2 and 4274SD G2 1/8th scale brushless motors. Designed especially for the use with the Xerun XR8 and XR8 Plus brushless controller, but also usable with the sensored speed controllers of other brands, the motors feature a built-in chip that allows the speedo to identify the motor in order to maximise the performance while allowing for smoother overall control. Also in combination with Hobbywing’s own controllers Turbo functions as known from the 1/10th scale boosted ESCs are possible in order to extract the maximum performance from the motor. The 4-pole motor is housed in a black anodised aluminium heatsink case with bi-directional timing adjustments, allowing to fine-tune the timing independent from the direction of rotation. Other features include an advanced, patented hall senor system for improved reliability, a 4-pole 8-magnet staggered pole low-cogging torque rotor as well as an O-ring sealed sensor port and gold-plated solder tabs. The 68mm long 4268SD G2 motor is available as 1600kv, 1900kv and 2600kv variant for off-road and on-road applications as well as longer 74mm version with 2250kv rating for off-road trucks.

Michal Milanowicz wins at Polish Nationals Rd1

Michal Milanowicz wins at Polish Nationals Rd1

Round one of the Polish Electric On-road Nationals was held at the large outdoor asphalt track in Pacanow. The high-speed track has some difficulties in the form of bumpy turns and Michal Milanowicz made the best out of the conditions, taking the TQ in the Formula class from Patryk Jez who was hot on Michal’s heels in the qualifiers. In the A-mains, run on Sunday, Michal was able to take the win in A1 but A2 would be a tougher task as in the opening stages Michal’s car lacked some grip which meant he had to drive very carefully. But with some clever driving Milanowiczw was able to bring home the win to secure the overall victory early. A3 then saw Michael spinning right at the start, letting him drop down the field. Pushing his car to the limits though allowed him to recover and to take another win to top off a perfect weekend. Behind Michael, Patryk Jez would take the runner-up spot from third placed Tomasz Kursa.
