MIBO International Race – Registration Open

Registration for the exciting new MIBO International Race on March 3-5th is now open. Building on the successful Mibo Cup Race Series that ran in Hrotovice in the Czech Republic pre Covid, this new annual event with continue the tradition of the popular Michal Bok organised series by running both onroad and offroad at the same event. The Mibosport team will build two separate tracks at the Sport V Hotel indoor venue to create an action packed gathering of electric racers. Registration is open via MyRCM with a new system meaning entry fee payments are due in advance directly in MyRCM via PayPal or Debit/Credit cards. Kiss Tyres 1:10 & 1:8 Rain Filter

Specialists in wet weather racing with their much lauded rain tyres, Kiss Tyres has a new air filter system to keep your onroad nitro engine running in wet conditions. Suitable for 1:10 & 1:8, this rain filter protects the engine against the ingress of water when it rains. The inside of the filter consists of a fine, rustproof metal mesh while outside it is covered with a rubber sleeve. The connection to the carburetor is also made with a suitable rubber sleeve. The original INSBox filter can be replaced with this rain filter which can be easily attached to the carburetor.

2 in a row as Branson wins EWS Round 3

Round 3 of the popular British based Essex Winter Series took place over the weekend with reigning Champion Kyle Branson making it two in a row. Runner-up at the opening the season opener when Xray team-mate Bruno Coelho took the win on the series’ return following Covid, Branson would qualify on pole for the latest encounter taking all four round of qualifying. Xray team-mate Harley Eldridge qualified second but found herself defending from Capricorn’s Alex Thurston in the single leg final allowing Branson to take the win. Eldridge kept Thurston at bay reversing their finishing order of the previous round. Following his rejoining of the Schumacher team last week, Chris Grainger qualified & finished 4t ahead of his new car’s designer Andy Murray. Continue reading here

Kiss Evo14 ‘Soft’ 1:8 rain tyres

Famed Swiss wet tyre producer Kiss Rain Tyres has introduced a new soft compound variant of their 1:8 Onroad tyres. The first version if the Evo14 tyre ran at 25 shore with the new ‘soft’ version has a shore of 15. Providing a high amount of water displacement in the wet, the tyres are build using Kiss’ own core material and Pit Shimizu’s proven D01J tyre for the outer tread.

Wilck departs Arrowmax & Dash RC

Top international touring car driver Viktor Wilck has announced he will no longer be representing Arrowmax and Dash RC in 2023. The multiple World Championship podium finisher has worked with both companies since his days as a factory Serpent driver, both brands being part of the same company that took over the, originally Dutch, pioneering RC manufacturer. Now racing as part of the factory Infinity team, the Swede said, “I would like to say thank you to everybody at Arrowmax and Dash for this last 7-years. We had many success together, highlights as the two times IFMAR world championship podium and numerous wins on international and national races. Special thanks to Mr. Lau and Wing Lau. Always giving me the best quality products to compete and also sharing many good memories together at races. I wish everybody at Arrowmax and Dash good luck for the future.”

MR33 A800FX / Evo Carbon Flex T-Brace

MR33, the brand of multiple World Champion Marc Rheinard, has released this Carbon Flex T-Brace for Awesomatix’s A800FX and Evo kits. Due to the pressed-in threaded sleeves, you can mount the brace very easily on the rear of the chassis. Depending on the orientation, the strut can be mounted completely on the chassis, or slightly raised above the chassis. The different mounting points give you several flex options and an additional adjustment possibility for your A800FX. Additional nuts are not needed for mounting.

Payne joins Contact Tyres

Contact RC Tyres has announced top 1:12 racer Ollie Payne as a new international team driver. The British driver previously ran with Japanese brand Ulti but following his recent move to new chassis sponsor Schumacher the signing is a logical one given Contact is one of the brands in their portfolio.

ReveD alu spur gear holder

Japanese RC Drift manufacturer ReveD has introduced a new aluminium spur gear holder that can be attached to RDX and MC-1. It can be used when changing the spur gear from the RDX kit standard configuration. The spur gear is sandwiched between a lightweight aluminium separate type holder with SE (Shining Edge) processing, and it uses a centre lock method that secures it with a single aluminium nylon nut. The 4-point positioning method eliminates the need to worry about centering the spur gear, allowing for quick spur gear replacement.
