Horizon Hobby have introduced the ECX Temper 1/18th scale 4WD RTR rock crawler. Featuring a 4-link setup the vehicle is basically a scaled-down 1/10th scale model and it sports a 2mm alloy chassis, locked front and rear differentials, metal pinion and main gear, waterproof electronics and a high-torque motor. Also included are a pre-designed bodyshell, grippy tyres, a 900mAh NiMH battery pack and a suitable charger along a 2.4GHz radio set.

RC4Speed’s Fuel Gun to Fuel Stick conversion allows to convert an old fuel gun to a fuel stick in 5 minutes. With this kit it’s more easy to refuel when the pit line wall is high and its not a problem which direction the car is in the pit line to refuel. New from Xray and made for the X1 formula car are the 2mm aluminium main chassis and rear lower pod plate. Made from 7075-T6 aluminium and coming black anodised and laser-etched the parts can improve steering, stability and traction in certain track conditions that range from low to high grip. Additionally the chassis can make the car easier to drive.

The Laszlo Memory race was recently held in Austria with drivers from Slivakia, Hungary, Slovenia and Austria in attendance. In the 200mm class Michal Abrahamek took the TQ after the qualifiers and he then went on to win a super close A-main thanks to a good race strategy. Gergely Csekö came in 2nd while Gergö Lehner rounded out the top 3 result.

The fifth round of Greek Touring Series was held at the FRT race track with a good number of entries. Different from other rounds of the GTS this race was held under 17.5T Blinky rules inspired by the Xray Challenge held at the Hudy Arena. The qualifying was very close and after three rounds Georgiadis (Xray) put his car on the 1 spot follow by fellow Xray racer Zogogiannis and Katsikis (HB) in 3rd place. The finals then were again a very close affair with all drivers being in the same lap and at the end Georgiadis was able to keep the momentum to take the overall win from Zogogiannis and Papachristos (Xray).

Following a recent teaser Serpent have now released more information and images of the forthcoming Viper 977 Evo 1/8th scale nitro on-road kit. The latest incarnation of Serpent’s World Championship winning 977 platform will feature the SL8 XLi super-low inertia 2-speed gearbox, new 0.8 pitch composite gears, hardened 0.8 pitch clutch gears as well as an optimised 7075-T6 aluminium chassis with improved flex characteristics and weight slide system. Also included in the Evo kit is a new 2.5mm carbon fibre radio plate with ball-raced central flex system, a new front bumper with inserts and an improved rear body mount. The kit will ship in the third week of July.
