Redcat Volcano-16 1/16th scale monster truck

From Redcat their new Volcano-16 is a 1/16th scale ready to run monster truck. Supplied complete with two 7.4V 800mAH Li-ion rechargeable battery packs, USB Li-ion battery balance charger cable, a 2.4GHz radio system and sticker sheet, the Volcano-16 even includes a set of LED headlights. Available in red or blue it is small enough to be driven indoors and powerful enough to trample the great outdoors. Powered by a 390 brushed motor and splash proof brushed ESC/receiver, a metal heatsink helps to keep the motor cool and T-style connectors ensure reliable power delivery from the rechargeable Li-ion battery pack. Featuring a durable plastic tub chassis, beefy independent suspension arms, adjustable threaded body coil-over shocks, front and rear gear differentials and full time shaft driven 4WD. The large front and rear bumpers, with impact resistant mounting brackets, look good and offer protection against crashes. An aggressive tire design offers excellent traction on multiple surfaces and the firm tire compound offers long lasting tread wear, even when driving on pavement.

Xray SCX confirmed to be 2wd Short Course

Confirming what we already presumed, Xray have released a further teaser image for the SCX in which they confirm that this new platform will be a 2wd Short Course. Again very little information is revealed but the image Xray post on their social gives us an idea as to the profile of the kit body for this new truck. More info as we get it.

Ryan Lutz confirms switch to WRC

Ryan Lutz has confirmed his move from long time chassis sponsor Agama to new chassis sponsor WRC. Not just taking up the role of driver, Ryan is the person tasked with growing the Italian brand, more known in onroad, in the Americas and in a lengthy blog post linked below he explained his new position as:

As for my role, if you can name it, i’ll probably have my hand in it in one way or another. I have been assigned the role of making this brand what it will be in the America’s. Starting out that means everything from Racing, testing, and promoting on the track to the behind the scenes of working with distributors and shops to help them get set up. I will be creating educational videos to learn and showcase the platforms. I also will be the team manager for the offroad side of things as they currently offer 1/8th Nitro Buggy and Ebuggy with their SBX and SBXE.

Samix SCX10 III & Capra brass steering combo

Continuing their releases for the Axial SCX10 III and Capra, Samix have introduced this brass knuckle & portal cover set & scale brake rotor plus 8mm hex combo set. For a combined weight gain of 315 grams, this offers a better centre or gravity and forward weight bias for climbing. Made of high quality brass and etched with L and R for ease of installation, the parts have been black coated to help prevent corrosion and given gold highlights for that factory look. The scale brake rotor & calliper complete the look.

Ultimate Racing MBX8 upper arm & front wings

From Ultimate Racing for the Mugen MBX8 are some new aerodynamic attachments. First up is this clear lexan front upper arm wing, an aero option that attaches directly to the front upper arms. This tuning option helps to increase front end grip and traction at higher speeds, while helping to improve the front/rear balance in the jumps. These wings are feather light and include lightweight machined mounting brackets that create a strong and lightweight mount for installation. The front wing replaces the front nose-cone on the vehicle with a front wing design that has shown to produce enhanced steering characteristics. The front scoop includes 2 pieces per package, so a driver has enough to outfit their nitro and e-buggy with the same package. This wing provides increased feel and sensitivity in the larger sweeping sections and helped jumping attitude in the tricky jump sections.

Xray tease their SCX short course platform

The crew at Xray are keeping themselves very busy lately, together with the release of their 2021 cars they have also just dropped the news that they will be entering the short course market with what they are calling the SCX. Not a big stretch to adapt their new XT2 2wd truck, we have no details as of yet but we can of course expect detailed information soon.

T-Works buggy clutch spring tool

From T-Works for your 1/8th buggy clutch is this clutch spring tool. Sporting a black anodised lightweight machined aluminium handle, the tip allows the user to more easily assembly their clutch by being able to set the springs with ease. The tool comes with a matching aluminium lid to protect the tip and a red plastic end cap for a smooth surface during use, and also to protect the handle if dropped.
