Wins for Jefferies & Askell at BRCA Nats Rd2

For round two of the BRCA Touring Car series drivers headed to the southeast of the UK to the Colchester club. In modified Olly Jefferies headed the entry but at a recent warm up race he was beaten for the first time this season which threw the form book out of the window and on paper at least opened the door for the likes of Kyle Branson, Chris Grainger and Harley Eldridge who all looked quick in pre national testing. Jefferies took round one of qualifying while Grainger sat out the first round giving him the new tyre advantage over the following runs, the Awesomatix went on to take TQ ahead of Jefferies but would start the finals on used rubber.

Element RC Enduro Builder’s Kit 2

Element RC have updated the Enduro Builder’s Kit 2 by including their GKSTM shock towers in front and rear. Their shock mount inserts provide the ability to adjust shock angle, droop and vehicle ride height without affecting spring preload. Matched up with the shock mount inserts are their race-proven, ultra-smooth Factory Team bronze shocks with black caps and collars, perfect for traversing rough terrain. Along with the updated shock towers, they’ve included the GKS aluminium track bar mount that is bolted directly to the frame rails. This makes the front suspension more rigid and flex-free with a more precise steering feel. Also included are updated Factory Team 12.3-inch wheelbase high-clearance links with black nitrate finish and low-friction Delrin pivot balls, which are more resistant to abrasion and friction wear. You get all these new features along with our revolutionary Stealth X transmission with the ability to adjust the front and rear drive ratios independently across three different levels. In the box you get both the 5.7% and 11.83% overdrive gears, and available separately is a one-to-one ratio option for those who wish to drive the front and rear equally. The behind-the-axle (BTA) steering greatly improves approach angle and front end clearance, making rough terrain much easier to handle.

X-Square XQ10 integrated shock mount upper bulkhead

For the Xpress XQ10, this integrated shock mount upper bulkhead from X-Square helps to lower the centre of gravity of the car. This results in a more flat cornering response, further increasing consistency. Also the shock angle adjustment can be very finely tuned through adding or removing spacers. Available as a set for the front as well as one for the rear, including the carbon rear lay down body mount.

FSEARA Rd8 941 RC Raceway – Report

The final round of the FSEARA Series. South Regional Raceway / 941 RC Raceway is a brand-new track to the series also to racers as well. The asphalt was laid down over a year ago, but due to Covid shutdown, this track was never able to get activity approved by the city to host the event. This time of the year, we are lucky to be the first group to test this brand-new surface. The highlight of the battle for the weekend was for sure in 17.5 TC. It was a battle between the series top contenders. Dave Vera set the early pace with Infinity IF14. Cory Record came up just short to match Dave’s TQ, but he was having a tough time with this track. He was able to come up with a last min setup change to put himself 2nd overall. Cory Parsons, the last round winner, had a bad last round of qualifier and had to settle for 3rd.

RC Maker MTC2 brass roll centre shim plates

RC Maker have introduced their all new brass roll centre shim plates for the Mugen MTC2. Changing roll centres on your MTC2 has never been easier, rather than undoing the whole screw and having shims flying everywhere, simply loosen the screw, slide the shim plate out, and install the new roll centre shim plate, and re-tighten the screws. With the ever demanding focus on weight distribution and adding additional weight down low on the mid motor platforms, they decided to produce brass shim plates in the most common thicknesses used today, 1.5mm, 2.0mm and 2.5mm. This gives you a great range of roll centre options to choose from, whilst being able to move weight around your car to adjust the front/rear weight bias.

Exotek 22S heavy duty alloy parts

Exotek have produced a number of new heavy duty, 7075 alloy parts for the Losi 22S Drag & SC cars. Starting with this front camber mount that has been machined to be heavy duty to better hold your geometry settings, race after race. Weighing 15 grams, it retains the stock geometry of the kit plastic mounts and its customised polished black base with silver chamfered accents goes great with your stock plastic parts or factory alloy parts. There is also a new front bulkhead that weighs 16 grams and retains the stock geometry of the kit plastic pivots and has received the same finishing. Finally this 100% CNC machined and vented motor plate sports aggressive slot cuts for less weight that also helps lower the motor temps faster. The slots also help cool down the inner slipper parts by letting cooler air pass through. The extra machining brings the weight down to 14 grams, 6 grams lighter than stock, but the critical motor mounting areas are still intact to minimise flex for solid motor mounting and gear mesh.
