Leadfinger Racing A2 Tactic YZ-2 & SRX2 Gen3 bodies

Coming from Leadfinger Racing are the new A2 Tactic body shells for the Yokomo YZ-2 and the Serpent SRX2 Gen3. Like the A2 Tactic bodies before, the bodies have an added roof vent that allows for better cooling for today’s sensitive electronics. Running cooler has its advantages and feeding cool air directly over the power house is a welcomed upgrade. Behind that, LFR has designed a top fin that joins into a rear swoop for added stability and increased rear down force. The combination of the two help give the buggies a balanced and precise feel during mid corner rotation and on power exit. The bodies come including two pre-cut Tactic wings, window masks and stickers and suitable nose scoops are sold separately to further enhance overall steering and performance.

JConcepts 22X-4 F2 body shell

JConcepts have introduced their new F2 body shell for the TLR 22X-4 buggy. The initial F2 design quickly proved effective on the ground and in the air. Designed with aspects learned from the original Finnisher bodies, the F2 provides an even more aggressive look with included details which remain crucial to performance and it is a drop fit for the popular TLR 22X-4 buggy. With the evolution of racetracks, complicated circuits combining more aggressive jumps and extremely high-speed corners, JConcepts incorporated many features which provide several benefits in the most critical situations. Increased windshield angle provides a steady force upfront during mid-flight wind gusts on large jumps. Forward cab placement changes performance/visible bias which help steering rotation in low traction corners. The side-pods have been simplified and JC chamfered to remove unwanted changes in height to neutralize the at-speed handling. The rear of the pod has been lowered giving a low-profile look. The front of the body has the Finnisher step-down treatment giving the 22X-4 first in class styling. The rear of the cab has the Finnisher V-step feature which allows the placement of a secondary side window and several louver options off the rear. The F2 body in the hands of Dakotah Phend won the 2020 Midwest Championship and JConcepts Winter Indoor Nationals. The JConcepts body is designed exclusively for the new 22X-4 platform and includes all the necessary cut-lines and each package includes the S-Type wings. Xray XB8 & XT8 aluminium high torque flywheel

Xray have introduced their new lightweight aluminium high torque flywheel for the XB8 and XT8 nitro kits. The Swiss 7075 aluminium 3-shoe flywheel helps to increase acceleration and improves throttle feeling. Strategically lightened compared to the standard #358532 flywheel, the lightweight variant does not sacrifice strength or durability. The highly polished and thus very smooth flyweight pins are factory-attached and the knurled outer edge makes for easy starting on the starter box and an integrated cover prevents dirt from entering the engine bearing.

JConcepts Finnisher Mini-T 2.0 body shell

Coming from JConcepts and made for the Losi Mini-T 2.0 is the new Finnisher truck body shell. The clear body has a slight cab forward, raked windshield and aggressive stance that highlight a performance-oriented core. The front hood scoop allows plenty of clearance for mini front-end geometry and body mounts while smoothing out the front down force area. Front chin spoiler, headlight and grill protect the front-end from unwanted up-drafts during flight while the supplied decals stand-out like an 18-wheeler. Just like the larger trucks, the Mini-T body has all the performance-based features like air-escape passages which can be trimmed by the customer for better “in-flight” characteristics. Recessed windows look heavy and adds to the depth of the Finnisher styling. Heavy bracing between the back of the cab and rear shock tower humps connect the features and add some rigidness to the design. The rear spoiler is included as part of the rear of complete body assembly mould and the package is complete with window masks and a decal sheet.

Yeah Racing TRX-4 312mm wheelbase stainless steel links

Coming from Yeah Racing and made for the Traxxas TRX-4 trail truck is a new stainless set suspension link set for 312mm wheelbase chassis. The links are direct replacements for the standard parts and while bringing with them a certain weight, that is helpful when tackling difficult terrain, they are also highly corrosion resistant, ensuring the links look good for longer.

Willspeed YZ2 Cal 3 & XB2 Take One D arm mounts

Following their B6.1/B6.2 Take One D arm mount Willspeed now also roll out D arm mounts for the Yokomo YZ2 and the Xray XB2 2020 and 2019 kits. Designed for carpet racers, The TakeOne D hangers remove 1 degree of in-board toe-in, racers to achieve 0.5 and even 0 degrees in-board toe. The capable in-board toe-in range is 0 to 3 degrees with no change to anti-squat adjustment. Removing toe allows the rear axle to act more efficiently, reducing tyre scrub, increasing mid corner rotation and increased on power steering. The parts come machined from high-quality aluminium and the are anodised clear for a shiny silver look.

SWorkz release full S12-2 details

Following a couple of teasers and first images of the production-ready kit, SWorkz finally unveiled all details of their forthcoming all-new S12-2 1/10th scale 2WD buggy kit. The car builds on a lightened and hard-anodised 7075 aluminium main chassis whose layout allows for up to six different battery positions while the overall chassis flex can be changed by adjusting the sideguards. In the suspension department the car sports an updated geometry that was developed to provide optimised corner speeds and an easy handling on carpet or very high-bite tracks. The S12-2 uses a 4mm carbon fibre front shock tower and a completely new designed front C-Hub geometry. An adjustable Ackermann plate and carbon fibre steering plates come as a kit standard as do the new gullwing lower arms that provide a lower shock position which leads to a lower centre of gravity.
