Sweep Racing Cuby 1/10 scale turf tire

Sweep Racing have introduced its new Cuby tire for 1/10 scale turf racing. The new tire is unlike any other currently on the market. The square-shaped lugs provide tremendous grip on the long astro turf surfaces while the smaller carcass provides better consistency and more corner speed. Sweep offers these tires in 2wd/4wd rear and 4wd front with yellow compound available now and more compounds coming soon.

Tamiya VQS high-capacity dampers

Having just announced the upcoming release of the VQS 2020 buggy, Tamiya have introduced these high-capacity dampers for the same car. A direct replacement set for the kit plastic shocks, they feature aluminium bodies for additional strength and more consistent dampening action. Overall a great upgrade to move your VQS to the next level of performance.

Rihard Lainemäe double at Estonian Nats Rd3

The third round of the 2020 Estonian Offroad Racing Series took place at LaitseRallipark, the one day event consisting of morning free practice, 4 qualification runs followed by a single 10-minute sprint final. After Qualifying it was Rainer Ressar in Nitro Buggy and Karl Martinson in eBuggy taking the top spot, with Rihard Lainmeäe taking a close 2nd in both classes. The finals saw the track evolve to very high grip but also very bumpy, which made the conditions even more difficult and made for very interesting racing. Rihard Lainemäe would win both finals followed in nitro buggy by Rainer Ressar in 2nd and Reimo Kosk 3rd and by Martinson and Marko Kivisild in eBuggy.

JConcepts 2020 Updated event status

JConcepts have reached out to provide an update on the status of their events scheduled through the end of the year. Some events have had to be cancelled due to Covid-19 concerns or locally governed standards being more restricted on public gatherings. Other events as indicated will go off on schedule starting with the Northeast Turf Nationals in Enfield, Connecticut.

Tamiya VQS 2020 re-release 4WD buggy kit

Tamiya have re-released the Vanquish, a legendary buggy from their back catalog. Now available again in the form of a re-issue assembly kit renamed the VQS, the kit receives tweaks to the original to bring it into the modern age. New aluminium front uprights and efficient universal shafts are designs inherited from the 2011 re-issue of the Avante along with the planetary gear differential. The kit also comes with a pre-cut and pre-painted body, with body stickers based upon those in the original release.

T-Works 160mm 1/8th car stand

New from T-Works is their new XL 160mm long car stand for 1/8th scale vehicles. Made from sturdy metal the car stand features laser-etched and also machined T-Works logos for brand recognition and a low weight, as well as up to eight holes to take shock absorbers during building, maintenance and setup. Two foam strips ensure the chassis rests securely on top of the stand and without harming the car stand itself or the lower side of the chassis plate.

Bittydesign Vision A319E buggy body shell

Having just added the Agama A319 to their line-up of Vision buggy body shells, Bittydesign has now added a version for the A319E. The lid’s design will offer an easier to drive and more balanced feeling thanks to a mid-advanced cab, side pod and rear side flaps shape that optimises the aerodynamic characteristics. In addition a flap behind the engine area guides the air towards the rear wing for a smoother and more directed airflow around the shock tower and lower wing mount. The pre-cut body is moulded from high-quality 1mm Lexan polycarbonate, it comes with window masks, overspray protective film and a decal sheet.

T-Works RC8 B3.2 servo saver arm

Coming from T-Works and made for the Associated RC8 B3.1/B3.2 is this aluminium servo saver arm. A direct replacement for the standard composite part, the alloy item offers improved stiffness and precision, making for an overall improved steering performance and is black hard coated for improved wear.
