The final round of the Greek electric off-road championship took place at the Pachi astroturf track. In the 4WD buggy class Tasos Paparegas took TQ in front of Papanikolaou and Amaksas. In the finals Tasos made a clean sweep by winning all three legs leaving Papanikolaou in second place. Tasos’s brother completed the podium in third position.

Xray introduce hard composite suspension arms for the RX8 on-road car. Available as upper and lower front and rear items are moulded from a new, harder composite material that offers higher rigidity which is ideal when running on high traction surfaces or in high ambient temperatures. The symmetrical arms are usable on the left and right hand side of the car.

The 4th round of the Lestr Cup took place in Dubec last weekend. In 4WD SC Team Durango driver Kaja Novotny went home with the class win in front of Michal Strnad and Jakub Vondracek. In 2WD Kaja was able to conserve his form, taking the second win of the day with Jiri Mara and Marcel Dostal in tow. Jiri then took the highly contested 4WD class win in front of Kaja Novotny and Jan Domansky who completed the podium.

Spec-R have two new sets of optional metal outdrives for Yokomo and Xray gear differentials available. The outdrives are machined from high-quality spring steel, they offer a hardened surface and their design does away with the need to use protective plastic blades, making them ideal when running a front differential. Ryan Maifield wrapped everything up early at the Finals of the JConcepts Indoor National Series taking place at the Hobby Plex track in Omaha, Nebraska, this afternoon as he backed up his clean sweep in A1 to claim the overall win in 2WD & 4WD Buggy and 2WD Short Course. Coming into the event already confirmed as the champion of both buggy classes the win in Short Course added that title to his 2013 haul while the 4WD Buggy win completes the perfect season with five wins from the five events that make up the popular series.

Team C Racing have new ultra hard springs for the GT8 line of cars available. They come in handy on tracks with high to very high traction and are available as separate front and rear spring pair. Designed to fit Team C’s 1/8th big bore shock absorbers the springs should also match with the dampers of many other brands.

The Nitro Onroad Christmas Race 2013 took place at the Extreme Speed Alley raceway. The race saw the running of a 1/8 nitro, 200mm nitro and 1/8 GT class and in 1/8th it was Ricky Tangan (Serpent/Novarossi) who took the winning honours, despite a late show-up for qualifying, in front of Serpent/Novarossi teammates Denis Lucindo and Clemen Pancho. In the 200mm touring class veteran off-road racer Jordan Go (Serpent/Novarossi) took the win after a very strong and consistent race from Joseph Evaristo (Serpent/Novarossi) and Edgar Ngo (Serpent/Novarossi). 1/8 GT was won by Edgar Ngo (Serpent/Novarossi) in front of Garet Santayana (Team C/NH) with another veteran, Leo Virtucio (Serpent/Novarossi) who was racing for the first time at the ESA track, taking the final podium spot.

In addition to the recently announced BD7-2014 Yokomo now also introduce a “2014” conversion kit for older spec kits. Included are the upper and lower carbon fibre chassis parts, the newly designed motor mount with integrated layshaft mount, the needed centre pulleys, main gear, as well as updated steering parts along an assortment of hardware to complete the conversion. The kit is available in blue colour only and will hit the stores by the end of the year.
