GForce Egress aluminium option parts

GForce Egress aluminium option parts

Japanese company GForce introduce first option parts for Tamiya’s upcoming Egress 2013 re-release buggy. First up are aluminium steering bellcranks that are designed for the use with 850 bearings. The parts are machined from high-quality aluminium, they come gun metal anodised and improve the steering rigidity and precision. Next up are front knuckles and rear hubs, again made from aluminium and sporting a dark grey colouring. The parts are made to replace the Egrees’ stock hubs with more durable items plus they add a cool look to the already stunning buggy. Last but not least are the front and rear gear box covers. The aluminium parts improve the precision of the drivetrain and add some strength to a highly stressed part of the chassis. All of the above parts become available this November.

Sweep 8ight & 22 Birdie body shells

Sweep Racing now have their distinctive Birdie design body shells for TLR’s 8ight and 22 line of buggies available. Atsushi Hara wins at Ride Cup Rd3

Atsushi Hara wins at Ride Cup Rd3

The 3rd round of the 2013 Ride Cup was held at the recently opened Huge R/C circuit. The world class indoor asphalt track includes covered pit areas, a covered drift track and a fully stocked hobby shop. In addition to the five usual cup classes this time also a Modified Touring Car class was run that saw the attendance of three World Champions in the form of Atsushi Hara, Jilles Groskamp and Meen Vejrak. After a close battle in qualifying Atsushi claimed TQ ahead of Jilles by less than one second, with both drivers running 20 laps in 5:04. The finals once again saw a close battle between Atsushi (ARC) and Jilles (Tamiya), with Hara managing to win the first two A final legs and therefore the overall event. With the first two podium spots already locked away both drivers used the 3rd A final to make some changes using the great track conditions to try settings for the upcoming TITC 2014 to be held at the same circuit, with Hara again being the winner after very close racing. The final podium spot went to Paphon Chanyasak (Xray).
