Xray back Euro Nitro Series

Xray are to back the inaugural Euro Nitro Series, the organisers of the new championship for onroad nitro racing are delighted to announce the World Champion manufacturer as the first primary sponsor of the two race ‘Pilot Series’ that will kick off at the end of next month at the Hockenheimring in Germany. A key partner of the Euro Touring Series, in which they are the defending Pro Stock Champions, Xray have played an instrumental role in the creation of the ENS offering their support for the series as far back the middle of last year.

Yeah Racing TC6.1 and TT-02 bearing kits

Yeah Racing introduce a total of four new ball bearing kits for the Team Associated TC6.1 World Car Factory Team kit and the Tamiya TT-02 chassis. All kits include 16 suspension and transmission bearings an are available as standard metal shielded or teflon sealed variant. The ball races come pre-oiled with a light protection oil and the sets also include 15ml of high-quality bearing oil.

Michal Orlowski double at Polish Indoor champs

Michal Orlowski doubles at Polish Indoor Off-Road champs

Last weekend the Polish Indoor Off-Road Champioinships took place on a track designed by young Team Durango driver Michal Orlowski. The race was hosted by Polish Model Car Federation and the ATA Racing Team. Sporting a tight and challenging layout including a crossover section many drivers compared the track to the difficult layout used at Langenfeld round of the 2012/13 Euro Offroad Series. In the 2WD class the overall win went to Team Durango/Speed Passion driver Michal Orlowski who also took TQ in this class. Piotr Okonski (Tamiya/LRP) grabbed the runner-up spot with Bartek Zambrzycki (Team Durango), who came from fifth position, completing the podium. The 4WD class once again saw a dominant Michal Orlowski who finished some two laps ahead of Piotr Okonski. The podium was completed by Bartek Zambrzycki. The race marked the end of the indoor season in Poland with the outdoor season starting in May.

Elliott Harper wins BTCC season opener

Elliott Harper wins BTCC season opener

The Cotswold RC track in the UK saw the unofficial BTCC season opening race and it was Team Durango’s newly signed Elliott Harper who took the TQ honours with the company’s DETC410 touring car prototype. Elliott was able to TQ every qualifying round and also posted the fasted lap ever at the Cotswold track. The young Brit then went on to sweep the A finals and took the race win in front of Schumacher’s Chris Grainger and Olly Jeffries (Team Associated).

Spec-R R1 hard coated centre pulley

Spec-R R1 hard coated centre pulley

Spec-R introduce this optional centre pulley for the R1 touring car. The part is machined from 7075 aluminium, sports a hard anodised pulley surface and a multi-piece design with the pulley being secured by a thick O-ring. The part increases the drivetrain efficiency and is sold as set of one piece.

Lutz & Tebo win at Silver State Nitro Challenge

Boulder City saw the Silver State Nitro Challenge last weekend and it was Team Durango/Alpha’s Ryan Lutz who brought home the victory in the nitro truggy class. Second place went to Kyosho/Team Orion’s Jared Tebo with Team Associated/Team Orion’s Ryan Cavalieri in third position. In the highly competitive nitro buggy class the podium finishers remained the same but mixed up a bit with Tebo taking the win in front of Ryan Cavalieri. and Ryan Lutz.

Olivier Bultynck wins Belgian Nats Rd1

The first race of the 2013 Belgian championship took place at the Lovan racing track in Zarren. The indoor track featured many technical areas and a fast layout. Defending champion Olivier Bultynck took TQ with his new VBC Racing Wildfire in front of Thomas Stockman and Nick Joosens. Gerrit van Swijgenhoven took a very good fourth on the grid. The first final saw a very close battle between Olivier and Thomas. Nick was just behind in third place. Olivier made no mistake and Thomas chased him hard but Olivier was able to open a gap and took the win. Thomas came in second in front of Nick and Gerrit. The second final again saw a win of Olivier after Thomas made a mistake in lap six. Meanwhile Nick climbed up to second place and encountered a lot of pressure from Thomas. The latter than touched the second placed but waited until Nick recovered. For the remainder of the final Nick was able to stay in second place with Thomas taking third place. Gerrit managed to take fourth in front of Manuel Henriet. The third final would be the decider for second place. Olivier also raced the last final as he wanted to learn his new car better. Olivier again took off and grabbed the win with the fastest time of the day. Thomas again was very fast and secured a second place. Nick came in third with Gerrit in fourth just in front of Manuel. The overall result saw  Olivier Bultynck (VBC racing) taking the win with€“ Thomas Stockman (Xray) in secede and€“ Nick Joosens (Yokomo) in third.
