Centro C4.2 mid motor 2wd buggy

The follow up to the very successful C4.1, the Centro C4.2 is drawing closer to completion. Tom Yardy used the prototype (shown) to TQ and win the last round of the UK 1/10th off road nationals at Broxtowe last weekend. The production car will have new (anodized black) rear hinge pin mounts with inserts, new multiple battery layouts on the new +8mm chassis along with completely new moulded gear box. There is also a completely new rear tower and rear bulkhead and a revised Proline Bulldog bodyshell. Due for release in Mid August.

Yeah Racing TT02 2 degree rear hub

Yeah Racing have produced this aluminium 2 degree rear hub for the Tamiya TT02. As the name suggests it will give the car 2 degrees of rear toe and is a great upgrade from the standard stock part which allows the TT02 to run more stable. You can also run the hub upside down to switch between normal or high ground clearance.

Wild Turbo Fan have announced their new range of cooling fans for RC cars. Available in a wide range of powers and sizes, there is a 25mm ESC Fan (RPM 20000 @ 7.2V) with dual ball bearings, a 30mm motor fan (RPM 22000-24000 @8.4V) in deluxe or economy version, 30mm Twin Fans (RPM 22000-24000 @8.4V) with a single connection for both fans and finally a 40mm motor fan (RPM 15000 @ 8.4V) with either ball bearings or bushings.

Romanian Nitro Cup - Announcement

The organizers of the Romanian Nitro Cup got in contact to tell us about their annual competition for 1/10th and 1/8th scale IC on road nitro cars which this year will be held from the ~~30th of August to the 1st of September~~ 20th to the 22nd of September. It is a private event with important prizes and the rules are kept as simple and as fair as possible for the drivers. Entries are limited to 60 drivers per class, if the number of entries in one class is lower than 60 the other class can be supplemented. The event will be held on the beautiful new Hobby Arena track near Bucharest and to make it event more interesting both classes offer prize money of EUR 1000 for the winner, EUR 700 for 2nd place and EUR 400 for 3rd. Koudelka & Novotny wins 2nd Olomouc Cup race

The 2nd round of Olomouc cup took place last Saturday and Kaja Novotny gave this report. “Again it was a rainy morning and the start of the race was delayed. Practice was possible but nearly nobody wanted to drive their car on the wet astroturf, so my first qualification was my first drive on the track. After qualifications in 4wd I took TQ with a 2-1-1 while in 2wd, with issues with my speed controller, finished sixth with a 3-2-5. TQ in 2wd went to local driver Tomas Koudelka with his DEX210. For the 2WD finals we did some changes, put some weights on the rear and finished second overall with a 3-2-2. Tomas Koudelka didn’t give anybody a chance and won all three finals with the new RDRP +11mm chassis. In 4wd I finished first in all three finals with Marek Schiller (DEX410) second and Tomas Koudelka (DEX410) third overall on the podium.

Thomas Holmesland wins Rd2 in Norway

Last Sunday saw round 2 of the Norwegian Nationals for electric modified touring at Sørlihavna. It was a rainy day and the weather prognoses was really bad. In the qualifiers the rain hit the track really bad, with the arranging club postponing the start by one hour, in hope of better weather. That did not come, and people started prepping the car for the wet. After the wet qualifiers the standings where pretty random.
