Mattia Pesenti takes Rd4 of Swiss Nationals

Last weekend the 4th round of the Swiss Nationals were held in Lostallo and Mattia Pesenti sent us this report. “On Friday we tested many things and different setups and at the end of the day the car was really good. On Saturday morning during the last practice we tried softer rims and the car was faster and easier to drive, I could ran in 20.170, which was a great lap in Lostallo. We started the qualifying rounds trying to finish the first one without mistake in order to have a good result, I took the 3rd position behind Müller and Kurzbuch. In the next 2 round I always improve my best time, setting a 20 laps in 7.08 in the third round. Kurzbuch and Müller did 20 laps in 7.06. In the last one it was colder and I tried to push harder but unfortunately I made a mistake and lost many seconds. I finished the round with 20 laps in 7.09, setting the new daily record with a lap in 20.045. I finished the qualifying round in 4th position.

DE Trinidad ST T4.1 wheels

DE Racing have released a second offset in their new Trinidad ST series, this model being for the Team Associated T4.1. One of the most unique features of this wheel, beyond the scale truck appearance, is the use of a 12mm hex drive. This not only makes for a more reliable drive system, but the trucks wheels and tires can now be easily rotated from the front to rear giving more tuning options and longer tire life. Serpent Cobra electric sport buggy

Serpent have released the next addition in the growing Serpent Cobra line. The Cobra electric sport buggy is based on the full race version of the E-Buggy and shares the race genes and geometry and most technical features. The Sport version features some less expensive materials, without suffering performance wise. This electric powered animal with its front mounted motor and electronics, super low longitudinal battery placement and super performing diffs and shocks will provide sheer endless amounts of run-time and race excitement. All parts and options of the high end race version fit this Sport version too, so a step by step upgrade is possible.

Four manufacturers chase ETS title at season finale

The stage is set for the most exciting title battle in the history of the ETS with four drivers representing four different manufacturers in with a chance of becoming the 2011/12 Yokomo Euro Touring Series Champions at this weekend’s (6-8th July) season finale in Traiskirchen, Austria.  Having enjoyed it’s most successful season to-date with close on 700 drivers set to register points in the World famous electric touring car series, the fifth running of the championship has also produced its most competitive year of racing with four different drivers taking to the top step of the podium in the premiere Ride Modified class.  Kyosho’s Christopher Krapp and Xray’s Alexander Hagberg both claimed their first ever ETS wins putting them in the position of going head to head with Team Yokomo’s defending Champion Ronald Volker and Tamiya’s former Champion Marc Rheinard for the prestigious title at the sixth & final round.

Xray T3 front & rear anti-roll bars

ARC R10 touring car options

ARC have released two new option parts for their R10 touring car. First up is a new suspension bracket which provides +0.5 angle for the suspension arm. Made by 7075-T6 aluminium it can be use in the rear/front to make the rear toe-in 2.5 degrees or in the front/rear and move the #1 suspension bracket to the front/front to reduce the front track width. Also new is a rear drive shaft made from hard coated 7075-T6 aluminium. It directly replaces the standard rear spring steel drive shaft and is 30% lighter than the original making for a more efficient transmission.

Daniel Law wins Malaysia National League Rd3

The 3rd round of the Malaysia National League (MNL) was held recently at the RCC Glenmarie Track in Shah Alam, Malaysia. The track operators at RCC did a great job by providing a very challenging and technical new layout on race day and there were over one hundred racers from all over Malaysia, Singapore and Australia in attendance. Winner of round 2, Team Losi Racing driver Daniel Law and his Team Losi Racing 8ight 2.0 buggy did it again by dominating and winning the one hour grand final with a gap of 2 laps.

Lloyd Storey wins Rd3 in Spain

The weekend before last top UK Schumacher Team driver Lloyd Storey traveled over to Bilbao in Spain to compete in round 3 of the 2wd Spanish nationals. The track was the same layout as used at the 2009 Euros, but this time running in the opposite direction and was high grip and bumpy with some difficult jump sections to test the drivers. The format was 8 rounds of controlled practice on Saturday and 5 rounds of qualifying, followed by 3 legged A finals on Sunday. The weather forecast leading up to the event was warm and dry, and didn’t disappoint.
