Swedish National double for David Ronnefalk

Last weekend saw the Swedish Nationals for 1/10th 2wd and 4wd held at the MHF Skarpnäcks 1/8 track in Stockholm. As the race was on similar surface as it will be at the Euros next week, it was also a good opportunity to make some practice with the same regulated tires that will be used then. The weather forecast for Saturday (2wd day) was not so good, and it rained during practice and the first qualification round. Following the first round Oskar Levin managed to take the first place ahead of David Ronnefalk and Mikael Hedin but after that it changed to a ‘David Show’ as Ronnefalk took qualification rounds 2 to 4 and secured TQ and start on pole.

T.O.P. Photon EX shims & outdrives

T.O.P. Racing have produced two new optional parts for the Photon EX. First up are these shims which allow you to conveniently adjust the roll center without having to remove the suspension blocks. They come as a set of shims with 0.5mm and 1.0mm thickness. Also new are a pair of steel gear differential outdrives. When aluminium can’t withstand the torque of modified motors, or stock motors with speedo timing, hardened steel gear diff outdrives are what you need.

Xray Column – Crazy Months

The 61st installment in the Xray column from Xray owner and chief designer Juraj Hudy is now online. In this months column, Juraj gives a run down on the early summer season results for the team as well as an insight into a new secret project that he has been working on for the past 8 years.

But the project has been such a hugely interesting professional and personal challenge for me that I simply could not give up regardless of the costs involved. I know it is not a smart business decision, and many times I had internal discussions if it still made sense to continue to invest time and resources without an upcoming result. But sometimes there are challenges in your life when you must persevere and do whatever it takes, and this was exactly the case.
