RC Carbon Cavalieri S35-3E carbon fibre fan mount

Following the introduction of the carbon fibre fan mount for the SWorkz 35-4E, RC Carbon Cavalieri now also offer the part specifically designed for the older specification yet still popular S35-3E. Machined from high-quality carbon fibre the fan mount attaches to the centre bulkhead of the buggy and it utilises most 40mm x 40mm fan units, allowing for efficient and reliable motor cooling as the fan is hovering above the motor can.

Masami Hirosaka releases his autobiography

Record IFMAR World and JMRCA Japanese National Champion, Masami Hirosaka has just released the first three parts of a multi-title autobiography about his racing life. One of the most well-known professional RC car racers of all times, Masami is a role model for decades of racers that can now get a pretty detailed idea of what Masami’s racing life was all about. Part 1 to 3 of the biography is available on Amazon in Japanese language with part 1 being made public in English language now also. The English language parts 2 and 3 are currently in production with Masami already working on parts 4 to 6 as we type. Juan Carlos Canas TQs & wins Andalusian Champs Rd2

Round 2 of the Andalusian Championship was hosted by the Lebrija club this past weekend with over 40 drivers in attendance. Juan Carlos Canas (SWorkz/Reds Racing) was in control of things, taking the TQ and also the win in the main final from Bryan Baldo (Mugen/O.S.) on the runner-up spot. The early stages of the 45-minute A-main saw some mix-ups up front with Juan Carlos, Oscar Baldo and Bryan Baldo all leading at a certain point but about the eight minute mark things had settled and Juan Carlos took the lead and never looked back to take the win a lap in front of Brayn Baldo while Agustin Illanes (Mugen/Ultimate) came in 3rd overall.

KO Propo BSx3-one10 Grasper Type-S servo

KO Propo have announced the release of their new BSx3-one10 Grasper Type-S low-profile servo. It utilises a composite upper and lower case combined with an aluminium middle section for a low weight and somewhat lower price tag, compared to the metal-case Grasper, while offering high-performance components such as hard-anodised aluminium gears, a brushless motor, dual ball bearings, a hard servo gear shaft and a Gold-plated connector. The high-voltage compatible servo is capable of up to 10.8kg-cm of torque at a speed of down to 0.09s and it supports KO Propo’s HCS function. The limited edition servo will hit stores in August.

Lee Setser sweeps JConcepts Super Cup Rd6

Round 6 of the JConcepts Super Cup was held at the Coral Springs RC track in Coral Springs, Florida. The event saw over 75 entries and in 2WD Mod Buggy it was Lee Setser with the overall TQ and win, some 14 seconds in front of Julien Oliveras. Jason Ruona came in 3rd overall, a further four seconds back to round out an all-Team-Associated top 3. Over in 4WD Mod Buggy it was again Lee Setser with the TQ and win as Julien Oliveras and Felix Law came in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

John Holmes wins at PDMCC Summer Series Rd1

The Pendle & District Model Car Club in the UK held round 1 of their PDMCC HB Racing Summer Series last weekend. In the single Nitro Buggy class it was SWorkz’s David Crompton with the overall TQ from fellow SWorkz driver, John Holmes in 2nd. After the single 22-minute A-main event however, it was John Holmes with the win some five laps in front of Kevin Kitchen in 2nd place. Darren Moffat (SWorkz) came in 3rd overall and in front of David Crompton. Phil Lodge (JQRacing) and John Huyton (Xray) completed the top 6 result.

NathoBuilds B6 series electronics plate & body saver

NathoBuilds have introduced two new 3-D-printed accessories for the Team Associated B6 series of vehicles in the form of an electronics plate and a rear body saver. Starting with the electronics plate, the part is a perfect way to mounting the electronics in a secure way while providing convenient installation and removal of the electronics for easy chassis cleaning. As for the body saver, the part fits the B6 to B6.2 vehicle and ensures longer lasting and more stable rear body mounting. Both the electronics plate and body saver are made from high-quality 3D PLA+ material and they are available in multiple colours.

Spencer Klein wins at Shaw’s Shout Out Series Rd4

Round 4 of the 2020 Shaw’s Shout Out Series was held at Shaw’s RC Shop in Ardmore, Oklahoma. In the premier Expert Nitro Buggy class it was Aaron Royston with the overall TQ from TJ Ball and Spencer Klein, the latter two having to go through the tie-breaker, as did 4th and 5th placed Cody Bell and Colby Purdy. The 30-minute A-main event then saw some mix-up up front round mid-race with Spencer eventually taking the lead that he would hold onto until the chequered flag with Cody Bell coming in 2nd, a lap down. Another lap down it was Colby Burdy in 3rd, a lap in front of TJ Ball. Jim Brown completed the top 5 result while TQ Aaron had to retire and only finished in 9th overall.
