Shepherd Velox V10 chassis stiffener set

Shepherd introduce the chassis stiffener set for the Velox V10 Twelve 200mm nitro on-road car. Designed to give the chassis more longitudinal stiffness the parts prevent gear damage on bumpy tracks. Included in the set are a high-quality carbon brace, a special gearbox bulkhead machined from 7075-T6 aluminium and all needed fasteners. All parts are also available separately.

T-Work’s S350 BK1/BE1 aluminium options

T-Work’s introduce these lightweight aluminium option parts for the S-Workz S350 BK1 and BE1 buggy kits. Available are front and rear wheel axles shafts, joint cups, upper shock mounts and several shock mount and anti-roll bar pivot balls. All parts are made from 7075-T6 aluminium and come hard anodised in a dark olive colour.

Exotek TD 210 series option parts

Exotek introduce more option parts for the Team Durango 210 series of vehicles such as the DEX210, DEST210 and DESC210. Usable for all 210 vehicles are the alloy rear pro hubs, the front brass weight, alloy idler shaft and the carbon battery strap. The rear pro hubs feature the stock 0 degree geometry, vertical ball stud positions and they work with the kit’s plastic toe inserts.

Short Course Showdown Nationwide Tour Rd5

The fifth round of the Short Course Showdown Nationwide Tour stopped at Hobby Town USA, Hobbyplex a massive facility that houses two full-sized RC race tracks. The tour once again brought a bevy of pro drivers and factory representatives to America’s heartland. Pro drivers like Brian Kinwald, and Billy Fischer arrived and were ready to do battle. Taylor Timmerman dropped in fresh from the Byron’s race, with the fastest youngsters in the Midwest: Cole Tollard, and Jason Hills adding to the pace of the race. Factory Fast JConcepts Guru Dave Duncan, Spektrum’s Sonny Brown, www.liverc.com and factory fast Mike Garrison, Novak’s Traveling Tech man and Short Course Showdown staffer Charlie Suangka, as well as the Traxxas crew made the trip to Omaha for stop number five. Chris Kovachevich from RC Driver and Trevor Duncan from R/C Car Action made the trip to cover the event as well.

Aigoin tops final Euros practice

Practice for the 32nd running of the 1:8 Offroad European Championships has concluded with Jerome Aigoin topping the final controlled practice at the Fehring track in Austria.  Last year’s Top Qualifier took his Novarossi powered MP9 to the only 9 lap run of the day making it a very strong start to the championship for Kyosho who topped yesterday’s free practice with David Ronnefalk and this morning’s damp practice round with Elliot Boots, who on combined points from today’s two controlled practices is top seed for tomorrow’s qualifying.

Boots tops first controlled practice

Britian’s Elliot Boots topped the opening controlled practice this morning on Day 2 of the 1:8 Offroad European Championships in Frehing, Austria, where drivers were greeted with a very different conditions to yesterday’s dusty track following some overnight rain.  Getting 10 minutes of track time, the second half of the run was timed for the purpose of being used to reseed drivers for tomorrow’s qualifying heats with Boot’s Novarossi powered Kyosho managing 8-laps in 5:00.504 which was 1 second faster than Renaud Savoya who in turn was 3/10th of a second faster than defending Champion Robert Batlle.

Capricorn 1/8th & 1/10th option parts

Italian company Capricorn release new plastic and aluminum option parts for their 1/10th and 1/8th line of nitro on-road cars. Available soon are new suspension arms made from a harder compound material, news longer upper rear arms, a lightweight rear bulkhead parts and lightweight main shaft bulkheads. Available for the 1/8th car will be new harder compound suspension arms, +2mm steering blocks and updated rear hubs with eccentric plastic reduction insert.
