KM H-K1 EvoII front universal shaft

KM introduce the red steel front universal drive shaft for the H-K1 200mm nitro on-road car. Both the hub and shaft are made from hardened red steel for maximum hardness and durability while the wheel axles received an additional grinding process for ultimate accuracy of the bearing fitment. The parts are usable on all H-K1 series cars and available as complete kit or as separate shaft and hub.

Spec-R TCX spur gear adapter

Spec-R announce the release of a hard coated aluminum spur gear adapter for the Hot Bodies TCX touring car. Included with the adapter/pully also comes a centre pulley for the second drive belt. Both parts are CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and come hard anodized for a long lasting finish and best drive train efficiency.

Olivier Bultynck wins Belgian Nationals Rd6

The sixth round of the Belgian touring car nationals was held at the Bierset track and was hosted by the MRCL. The weather forecast promised nice weather for Saturday but cloudy skies and a couple of raindrops for Sunday. With three pilots who could still become champion everything was set for exciting race action in the EFRA class. Thomas Stockman, Nick Joosens and Olivier Bultynck were the candidates for the title and it was Thomas who was on a good early pace taking TQ. Olivier managed to take second spot on the grid and Nick put his car third on the starting grid.

Team Grid TC6 Race Version servo mount

Team Grid release the Race Version servo mount for the Team Associated TC6 series of touring cars. Designed to allow for more chassis flex with the new generation of narrow chassis plates the mount uses only a single mounting point that floats the servo slightly above the chassis allowing natural chassis flexing. The mount is CNC-machined from aluminium and bolts onto the existing holes, allowing the linkage to move more freely by eliminating the sharp movement angle.

Hot August Offroad Challenge report

Addiction RC, located in Ogden Utah, hosted the first annual Hot August Offroad Challenge. Under the clear skies of Utah, racers gathered in 100 degree weather to take place in this event. The track was a smooth high speed layout, with tire eating traction. In Stock buggy finishing in 3rd place was Bryan Martinez running his Team C Evo buggy. 2nd place went to Nathan Empie (Team C) with Brandon Twitchell finish 1st with his B4.1 buggy. In 13.5 Stock 4×4 buggy drivers struggled to keep temps down in their cars. In the end Brian Schow took home 3rd place, with Tony Weaver finishing 2nd. Marvin Flores and his XXX-4 would take home TQ and 1st place.

Ronnefalk sets early pace in Austria

Kyosho’s David Ronnefalk is the early pace setter at the 1:8 Offroad European Championship as the Swede’s combined three fastest laps of the Fehring track put him top of the time sheets at the end of the first day of action in Austria.  The reigning European Junior Champion headed a Kyosho 1-2 as Jérôme Aigoin set the second fastest time just ahead of TLR’s Darren Bloomfield.

Team Associated RC12R5.2 Factory Team kit

Team Associated introduce the RC12R5.2 Factory Team kit. Based on the R5.1 the kit features the well known dynamic strut front end with symmetrical components with updated lower suspension arms with more accurate mounting for a more precise build every time. The 12R5.2 continues to use the wide three-point rear pod optimized for fitting brushless motors, with beefed up rear blue aluminum bulkheads to maximize rigidity and durability. Tying the two bulkheads together is the new carbon fiber motor mount cross-brace to gain further rear end rigidity and durability. Also included in the kit is a 2.5mm woven carbon fibre chassis, pivot-ball link rear suspension, refined aluminum side spring retainers and a center shock with through-shaft design.
