T.O.P. Photon EX shims & outdrives

T.O.P. Racing have produced two new optional parts for the Photon EX. First up are these shims which allow you to conveniently adjust the roll center without having to remove the suspension blocks. They come as a set of shims with 0.5mm and 1.0mm thickness. Also new are a pair of steel gear differential outdrives. When aluminium can’t withstand the torque of modified motors, or stock motors with speedo timing, hardened steel gear diff outdrives are what you need.

Xray Column – Crazy Months

The 61st installment in the Xray column from Xray owner and chief designer Juraj Hudy is now online. In this months column, Juraj gives a run down on the early summer season results for the team as well as an insight into a new secret project that he has been working on for the past 8 years.

But the project has been such a hugely interesting professional and personal challenge for me that I simply could not give up regardless of the costs involved. I know it is not a smart business decision, and many times I had internal discussions if it still made sense to continue to invest time and resources without an upcoming result. But sometimes there are challenges in your life when you must persevere and do whatever it takes, and this was exactly the case.

Finland Short Course Summer Cup Rd2

Round two of Short Course Summer Cup in Finland took place recently at the Tammisaari SC track. Track was recently modified for SC trucks and it gave a great racing experience. The rrack was a lot rougher than what tracks usually are in Finland, but due to that it created some great off-road experience and good reviews from racers. For the first time in the SC winter or summer cup, 4wd cars outnumbered 2wd cars by having 23 participants over 12 in 2wd. As in previous round in Vantaa, Mikko Pyhältö in 4wd and Riku Tolonen in 2wd took first places after the qualifying heats. We also saw new drivers climbing to the A finals which shows that there is a wide range of drivers that can compete for the top positions.

Reedy 4100mAh 65C Shorty LiPo

Reedy’s 4100mAh 65C Shorty LiPo is intended solely for racers. Its compact size allows racers to optimize their setups by altering their vehicle’s weight distribution. And its reduced weight means more acceleration and improved jumping ability. A 65C rating and a 4100mAh capacity means that whether racing stock or modified, you will have more than enough power to clear the big jump where others come up short. A ROAR approved durable hard case helps prevent damage, and 4mm socket connectors reduce resistance while allowing for clean wiring.
