Pro-Line Shadow 2.2” buggy tyres

Coming from Pro-Line are their new Shadow 2.2” buggy tyres. Designed for drivers that are tired of burning down brand-new Positrons into ghost pins or slicks in order to be competitive in several track conditions, the new Shadow tyres have the same Positron tyre shape but require much less grinding and burning in to get into the sweet spot. The tread of the Shadow matches the internal webbing exactly as if the internal webbing grew from the inside out. This provides consistent stability when running as ghost shadow tread while the short tread makes it easy to burn off when needing a full slick. The tyre is available as 2WD front, 4WD front and 2WD/4WD rear tyre in MC clay and S4 super soft compounds.

JConcepts S15 EB48 2.0 body shell

JConcepts have announced the soon release of their S15 body shell for the Tekno EB48 2.0 buggy. The S15 blends performance features from the popular Silencer body with new features such as mid-body winglets and rear stabiliser kick-up. The roof of the body remains strong with the upper fin in position for stability and tracking ability. The area behind the cab remains clean with a deep-rooted position allowing exposure to air and escape. The S15 stance cockpit allows ample inside space, a smoother high-speed windshield transition which tackles even the most high-speed conditions. The hard-edged chamfering provides the classic JConcepts look while also delivering aero benefits and perfect decal positioning. The front and rear body mount area is cleanly designed and allows for a drop-fit on the Tekno EB48 2.0. Included with the body come window masks and a decal sheet.

Yokomo YZ-4SF2 1/10th 4WD buggy kit

Yokomo have officially unveiled their new YZ-4SF2 1/10th scale 4WD buggy kit. The latest incarnation of the IFMAR World Championship winning YZ-4 platform utilises about 80 percent of new or redesigned parts with the bulkheads, motor mount, and slipper clutch being significantly lighter for improved overall performance. Also included is a new steering system that features an updated Ackermann geometry that is of a milder setting to compensate the improved overall agility due to the lower car weight, which comes in handy especially on high-bite surfaces for smoother, more predicable car control. New to the SF2 are also updated front and rear lower arms that now feature 3.5mm inner and 3.0mm outer suspension pins for durability. The arms are of a reinforced design for improved durability and new lower shock mount inserts enable the driver to access more complex setups. As for the slipper clutch, the new design is a lot smaller for a lower weight and quicker spool up, ensuring crisp throttle response. The included battery mount allows to shift the battery pack forth and back to adjust the overall weight balance while the new gearboxes allow for diff height adjustments to better adapt the buggy to different traction conditions while new cam-type inner upper camber link mounts allow for quick setup changes. The kit comes including dirt and carpet specific springs and anti-roll bars and it will hit stores soon.
