Serpent 1/10 gear differential

Serpent’s new gear-differential for 1/10 scale gas cars, which is standard in the new 747, is available as an option for the 733. Featuring an improved housing, new gasket and less screws to mount which are from one side only and new very durable sinter metal gears give even smoother action. The differential fits the 733 evo and TE and both FR and RR diffs are the same.

KM H-K1 EvoII front bulkheads

KM Racing have introduced more new parts for their H-K1 EvoII with the release of these aluminium front upper and lower bulkheads. Available for left and right the new pieces are lightweight, machined from 7075 T-6 aluminium, and feature a thinner design. They fit directly onto the current H-K1 series.

Sirio Seven tuned .21 onroad engine

Italian company Sirio have released their latest tuned .21 onroad engine called the Seven. This top of the line competition motor features a hand tuned 7 port ABC liner, hand tuned balanced crankshaft with silicon inserts and a Swiss made ceramic main bearing. Available now.

Shepherd Velox V10 ‘twelve’ conversion kit

Shepherd have announced that the conversion kit for the Velox V10 ‘twelve’ is available. The upgrade kit includes all parts for the new ball-raced rear anti-roll bar as well as stronger body posts for the front and the rear to convert the Velox V10 to the latest edition. The ball-races anti-roll has a much better response leading to an improved traction when accelerating while the new stronger body posts feature adjustable plates to fine tune the height of the body in 3 steps. Soon the complete kit will be available too.

Serpent TC wheels & pit towel

Serpent have released these strong yet lightweight wheels for the 1/10 scale electric touring class. Perfectly round, extra ribs help seat and support the foam inserts, while internal ribs flow into the strong hex adapter for extra stiffness. Only 11 grams each, they are sold in sets of 4 and come in orange, white and yellow. Fits Serpent and all other 1/10 touring cars. Serpent have also released their latest pit towel with a new print featuring the updated ‘old’ logo.

North German Rd1 wins for Schröder & Herniksen

The first round of the North German Championship took place in Hamburg under perfect weather conditions with 35 racers in attendance. For Team Shepherd it was a great weekend with victories in the 1/8th scale expert class as well as in the 1/10th scale class. In the 1/8th scale class it was was a close fight between the 2011 Euro B finalists Lars Hoppe and Timo Schröder, both driving with a Shepherd Velox V8 “eleven”. At the start of the final Hoppe’s engine stalled and Schröder took over the lead. But lap by lap Hoppe closed the gap and took over the lead after some minutes. Unfortunately he suffered again some problems and dropped back to 5th position by the middle of the race. Again Hoppe caught up brilliantly but the gap to Schröder was too big this time. He managed to get back to second position and crossed the finishing line one lap behind Schröder who drove a flawless race.

Ryuya Kato wins Rd8 of Tresrey Challenge

Round 8 of the Tresrey Off-Road Race 2WD Challenge was held last Sunday at the TRS circuit in Matsusaka-city, Japan and it attracted 60 racers. Ryuya Kato (TRF201) took the overall TQ by points for the best two rounds out of four rounds, Kenji Tsuruta took 2nd with his DEX210 and Noriyuki Kawashima took 3rd with his B4. Kato (TRF201) won the race, with Kawashima (B4) 2nd and Shinichi Kurotani (B4.1) 3rd. After the award ceremony, Tresrey held a big lucky draw prize which included a DEX210 kit, Axial EXO kit, Speed Passion ESCs, and Viper RC ESCs.

Soeren Boy Holst wins Rd1 in Denmark

First round of the Danish outdoor Championships was held last Sunday in Glostrup outside Copenhagen. The track was also used to host the European Championship back in 2005, and it’s perfect for Electric Touring Car racing. The track is 165m long, with a main straight of 50m. Control tires for the season is Solaris Hard, and the drivers are allowed to use 6 tires for the race. The sun had arrived at Denmark, giving a perfect condition for a super race. In the qualification it was Soeren Boy Holst who was fastest of all, with the brand new T.O.P. Photon EX car. Friday’s practice session was the first time out for this car, and it was flying around the track. TQ by 3 seconds to Troels Troelsen, who was followed by Nicolai Lindegaard.
