S-Workz S350 BK-1 Pro kit

Having released tentative information on their new S350 Bk1 buggy, S-Workz have now given us the full lowdown on their new chassis. This Pro Kit comes fully loaded with S-Workz Factory Team optional parts that add strength and performance. The design team put a lot of effort into the weight distribution of the S350 BK1 and this contributes a greatly to the car performance and general car setup. Equipped with Big Bore Shocks and oil filled differentials, the S350 delivers good traction and great balance on any off road tracks, while the pivot ball steering system gives the driver a good feel while driving the S350 BK1. The Standard set up is a very easy and good start for any drivers. A fairly standard car configuration the only real stand out feature is the dust protection system on all 4 wheels.

Joern Neumann wins Horizon Nitrocross

Joern Neumann wins Horizon Nitrocross

The first Horizon Nitrocross were held from last weekend in Quakenbrueck and with 163 entries from Germany, Italy, UK and Czech Republic it was a large success. The famous Quakenbrueck track is indoor, but temperatures are the same as outdoor and it was around 0° degrees the whole weekend. Friday was practice, Saturday saw one more round of practice and then 4 rounds of Qualifying, with the best 2 rounds to count. Martin Bayer TQ’d the Buggy class ahead of Jorn Neumann and Riccardo Rabitti. Sunday was finals day and in the semi finals Carsten Keller had the fastest time and would start the final from Pole Position. The Final was 40 minutes and in the first minutes Carsten, Riccardo and Jorn battled for position. Then Jorn took the lead and never looked back winning by 2 laps in front of 2nd placed Carsten Keller and Riccardo Rabitti in 3rd.

LRP have extended their LiPo battery range with these all new power-bars. Instead of increased power, these new packs feature a true innovation, the Multi-Plug-System. Instead of fixed connectors for only one manufacturer’s plug, the new LiPo Power/Hyper Packs have a multi-connection system with which you can use Tamiya, Traxxas or US-Style connectors. LRP have also improved the internals of these brand new batteries, with more capacity than the previous batteries for longer driving fun and 30C discharge current for incredible power. The cells are covered in a hardcase, made of robust synthetic material to avoid damage and improve safety. The bulges at the bottom side make a perfect fit in every car with battery slots also possible. Available in 2600mAh, 3200mAh, 3800mAh and 4600mAh versions.

TQ Racing SX10 4w Pro buggy

TQ Racing have released their SX10 4w Pro. Starting with a well balanced and solid platform created by the SX10 4w, the Pro version adds some of the aluminium and carbon goodies racers want. The biggest changes include a 3mm woven graphite chassis with composite side skirts. Also updated is the woven graphite two piece top deck, front and rear shock towers while the new aluminium pieces include front and rear arm mounts, motor mount and rear hubs.

Maifield wins Arizona State Championships

Maifield wins Arizona State Championships

For the 25th year the fastest drivers in the southwest have gathered to compete for the chance to be named Arizona State Champion. The AZ states were held at the infamous SRS in Scottsdale Arizona. Over 150 cars hit the track, ranging from Stock buggy to 1/8th gas buggies. Arizona’s stars Ryan Maifield, Tanner Denney, and Jake Thayer, showed that they were ready to keep the trophies in the valley against drivers from California and the surrounding states. Ryan Cavalieri, Frank Root, and Cody Turner, looked to spoil the locals plans.

Yokomo R12 wide chassis conversion

Yokomo have introduced a wide main chassis conversion for their World Championship winning R12. The front width of this optional chassis is 6mm wider than that of standard chassis and as a result the stability of R12 improves and is very effective on high grip surfaces such as carpet. The set includes a new front damper, stabilizer and steering tie rod.

Arrowmax have released another new option part for the MRX-5, this flywheel. Machined made from 7075 aluminium it has been lightened through strategic machining of the surface and then hard coated for better durability.
