Element RC 3-D-printed engine parts

Element RC have announced the release of printing files that allow to 3D print engine parts for the Enduro trail truck and other scale rigs. The engine parts set includes eight pieces that can be printed from your 3D printer, or purchased from Associated Electrics’ Shapeways 3D print shop. The engine is designed to be modular so that it can be customized and it is symmetric with both left and right halves of the motor. The servo winch can be used with no modification and the engine cover is designed to work with solid axle trucks. In addition the components are designed to be lightweight so that it does not negatively affect the chassis CG. The engine parts set includes the engine block, valve covers, intake, air cleaner, timing chain cover, fan, and harmonic balancer. Also available is a file to print the engine radiator. Not included are items such as wire plugs, radiator hose, valve cover breather bolt, and assembly hardware.

T-Works D819RS carbon fibre shock towers

T-Works have introduced their new carbon fibre shock towers for the HB Racing D819RS buggy. Machined from 4mm high-quality carbon fibre the shock stays offer high durability and an updated design with machined recesses for factory looks. The shock towers are available as a complete set of separately for the front and rear.

RC Carbon Cavalieri S35-4 carbon fibre optionals

MW RC Cars have introduced new RC Carbon Cavalieri carbon fibre option parts for the SWorkz S35-4 buggy. The range includes front and rear carbon fibre shock towers, a lightweight carbon fibre radio box cover, LiPo holder brackets for the battery tray that allow for improved battery positioning, and it is rounded out by a carbon fibre wing washer. All parts are precision-machined from high-quality carbon fibre and they are available from now on.

Chris Wheeler wins at MOD 5th & 8th Scale Champs

The Fear Farm track hosted the MOD 5th & 8th Scale Champs last weekend with nearly 150 entries for the main 1/5th and supporting 1/8th scale off-road classes. 1/8th Open Truggy saw TLR driver, Chris Wheeler taking the win with a 2-lap margin on Vareck Wright (Mugen) on the runner-up spot. Frank Lagomarsino (Xray) came in 3rd overall, another four seconds back.

Setser & Gonzalez win at Memorial Day race

SS Hobbies & Raceway in Tampa, Florida hosted their Memorial Day race last Sunday and Monday, attracting some of the state’s fastest off-road racers. 2WD Modified Buggy saw Lee Setser with the overall TQ and he also came out on top after the single 6-minute A-main event, leaving behind 2nd place qualifier, Julien Oliveras in 2nd and 3rd place qualifier, Paul Wynn in 3rd. Kenny Setser, Jason Ruona and Ryan Casteline completed the top 6 results.

Paul Wynn wins at Carpet Wars Rd1

Beachline Raceway of Cocoa, Florida held round 1 of the Carpet Wars series last weekend, attracting over 60 entries. 2WD Modified Buggy saw Julien Oliveras taking the overall TQ, however it was Paul Wynn who would hold the upper hand after the single 5-minute A-main with both swapping the lead several times. Ultimately Julien had to settle for 2nd overall, some eleven seconds back as Tyler Rimes, Kyle Paquette and Kai Goff completed the top 5 results.

T-Works soft bristle brush set

T-Works have announced the release of their new soft bristle brush set that is ideal for most cleaning purposes. The set includes 50mm, 38mm and 24.5mm wide brushes of 210mm of length with the soft bristles ensuring good cleaning performance without scratching and harming delicate surfaces. Black handles and white T-Works logos make for a professional appearance and the brushes are also available separately if needed.

Kyosho Ultima 2WD anti-roll bar set

Coming from Kyosho and made for the Ultima 2WD vintage re-release buggy is a front and rear anti-roll bar set. The kit includes front and rear swaybars as well as all needed mounting hardware, making the set a direct fit. Using the anti-roll bars will reduce overall chassis roll when running on high-bite surfaces, improving overall stability and making for a more planted ride especially when using grippier tyres.
