Reedy’s new 2035 and 2039 mufflers feature a 3-chamber design for a linear power band and exceptional all-around performance. A reinforced stinger and hard-anodized finish increase durability, while a single-piece pressure nipple is positioned for maximum body clearance and to lessen the chance of the pressure line being knocked off in crash. The 2035 muffler is incredibly powerful on the bottom end with good straight-line speed. On the other hand, the 2039 muffler is softer on the low end than the 2035, but is capable of more RPM and higher top speeds. A hard-anodized header designed specifically for use with these mufflers is also available.

AKA have announced the release of pre-mounted tires on their Pro-5 wheel specifically aimed at the Short Course market. They have chosen the Cityblock and Crossbrace as their first release on these wheels, which in the Super Soft compound yielded the best results in a variety of conditions during our testing. These Pro-5 pre-mounts also utilize AKA’s innovative and often imitated ground, closed cell inserts for the ultimate in durability and performance. These are a great add-on to sell with their Short Course adapter sets for the Slash and the Associated SC10.

CSO 966 Lightweight 2-speed shaft

Similar to the gearbox shaft released yesterday, CSO have produced another lightweight 2-speed shaft, this time suitable for the Serpent 960 & 966. A direct replacement for the stock part, it has been made from steel which has been hollowed out for extra weight savings without sacrificing the durability of the part.

Sporting a solid clamping system for a good connection between igniter and plug, the crown of the handle sports a meter to show you immediately if your plug is still functioning or not. LRP S8 BXe Premium RTR buggy

LRP have introduced their S8 BXe Premium RTR, an brushless powered version of the company’s S8 BXe Team car. Supplied with the Vector8 brushless modified motor, it utilizes the SPX8 ESC to control the new power plant. The car itself features a robust 3mm 6061 T6 anodized aluminium chassis and aluminium tuning shock towers taken over from the nitro-version. In addition to this the S8 BXe RTR features the LRP factory team tested 17.5 Big Bore shocks and VTEC 1/8 Buggy Competition tyre and much more. Prepared for use with two 7.4V LiPo batteries, the S8 BXe guarantees absolute driving fun with the possibility to update it with all the current tuning parts available for the Team Kit.

Durango shows of the DNX408's rear end

Durango continue to tease us with close up shots of their prototype DNX408 1/8th scale buggy. The car’s rear-end design is all about low weight, keeping weight forward, putting the wing over the rear wheels and giving the most ground clearance. The 408 claims to ‘probably be the lightest car on the market’, which is thanks to many design considerations such as the minimalistic gearbox case, slender but tough bulkheads and the smallest rear overhang of any car.

ProTek R/C 5400 & 5000mAh LiPo race packs

A Main Hobbies today announced four new ProTek R/C brand LiPo packs, starting with this 4-cell hard case pack with 5400mAh of capacity and a true 35C constant discharge rate. This pack includes an integrated balance charge lead with a Deans style T-plug installed. Next up is a 2-cell hard case 5000mAh pack with a true 40C constant discharge rate that includes heavy duty bullet connectors and a balance charge lead that you can solder onto the wire of your choice. The bullet connectors also feature side cut-outs for soldering on wires to fit in tight areas or in cars with low upper deck heights. A similar pack this other 2-cell 5000mAh pack also has a true 40C constant discharge rate but includes an integrated balance charge lead with a Deans style T-plug installed. Finally, a 1-cell 5000mAh hard case pack which has a true 40C constant discharge rate and includes a Deans style T-plug installed.

Shepherd Velox V8 rear body mount extension

New from Shepherd are these rear body mount extensions for the Velox V8. Due to the design of current 1/8th scale bodies and the allowed riding height many racers raise the rear body mount to increase the angle of the body as well as the downforce. With the new easy to install aluminium extension it is very comfortable to adjust the height of the rear body mount. Within a few moments the height can be changed and different setups can be tried. The set includes the aluminium extensions, body clips and extra long nylon screws.
