T-Works 5mm allen wrench

T-Works have announced the release of their new 5mm allen wrench that allows for effortless building, adjustment and maintenance of pivot ball suspensions. The shouldered design ensures that the hex wrench only contacts the pivot ball nut but not the actual pivot ball underneath, providing protection for the suspension balls that are often made of delicate aluminium, ensuring smooth suspension movement. The tool uses T-Works’ lightweight aluminium handle and it is suitable for off-road and on-road pivot ball suspensions alike.

Pro-Line Shadow 2.2” S3 compound buggy tyres

Pro-Line have announced the soon release of they new Shadow 2.2” buggy tyres in S3 soft compound. Designed for drivers that are tired of burning down brand-new Positrons into ghost pins or slicks in order to be competitive in several track conditions, the new Shadow tyres have the same Positron tyre shape but require much less grinding and burning in to get into the sweet spot. The tread of the Shadow matches the internal webbing exactly as if the internal webbing grew from the inside out. This provides consistent stability when running as ghost shadow tread while the short tread makes it easy to burn off when needing a full slick. The tyre is available as 2WD front, 4WD front and 2WD/4WD rear tyre with the S3 compound adding to the previously introduced MC clay and S4 super soft variants.

Pro-Line Showtime 2.2” sprint car black wheels

Available soon from Pro-Line are their new Showtime 2.2” sprint car front and rear wheels made specifically for dirt oval racing. The Showtime wheel features a scale spoke pattern like full-size sprint car wheels and includes an optional dish wheel face cover if that is the look the driver prefers. The rims are made from lightweight and durable black nylon and feature a 12mm hex moulded into the wheel to fit as many applications as possible. Standard 2.2” buggy tyres glue directly to the Showtime wheel, so owners can choose which tyres will take them to the winner’s circle. The rims come as pairs for the front or the rear.

Pro-Line Hole Shot 3.0 2.2” tyres

Pro-Line have introduced the latest incarnation of their ultra-popular Hole Shot tyre tread, the Hole Shot 3.0. It is featuring the latest generation race tyre carcass for maximum performance combined with longer-lasting waterproof closed cell foam included. The unique mini-pin Hole Shot design has remained virtually unchanged since it has already proven to provide the optimum level of traction in dusty, hard-packed, and grooved conditions. The tyre will come as 4WD front and 2WD/4WD rear variant in M3 soft and M4 super soft compound.

Pro-Line XB4 Axis buggy body shell

Coming from Pro-Line and made for the Xray XB4 buggy is the new Axis body shell. Designed with the latest in CAD technology, the Axis features a super low-slung design with sharp lines throughout giving it an unmistakable look on the track. The lid features a cab-forward design that provides enhanced steering response while the small side fins balance out the rear of the car with ideal side-bite. The rear of the Axis body has the right amount of clearance for the gearbox and fits the chassis and bulkhead shape of the race buggy perfectly. Made in the USA, the Axis is moulded from lightweight polycarbonate material that will give the driver an edge over the competition. Included with the body are two Air Force II 6.5” rear wings, paint-then-peel overspray film, window masks, and Pro-Line decals.

Traxxas Maxx Sledgehammer off-road tyres

Traxxas have announced the release of the Sledgehammer extreme performance off-road tyres for their Maxx monster truck. They feature an aggressive open-block design that clears away mud and debris for exceptional traction on loose surfaces. An increased diameter provides additional ground clearance while the heavy-duty wheel design provides extreme strength. The tyres come pre-glued and ready to install.

2020 Greek 1/8th Off-Road Championship – Report

The 2020 Greek 1/8th Off-Road Championship was held at the Speed Track Renti in Renti, Athens this past weekend in Nitro Buggy and Electric Buggy classes. The one-off event saw a total of 31 participants for the nitro category, more than any other class so far for the 2020 Greek Nationals. In qualifying Tasos Paparegas (Xray) was able to take the pole position just five tenths in front of very fast and experienced Giannis Papanikolaou (Kyosho) with Panagiotis Terzis (Mugen) only another three seconds behind. In the main final it was Tasos Paparegas who would hold the upper hand, adding another championship to his belt with Giannis Papanikolaou finishing in a strong 2nd place and Alexandros Anapoliotakis (Tekno) finishing 3rd after making up a lot of ground in the final.
