Hudy Engine maintenance tool kit

Hudy have released this ultimate engine maintenance tool kit set, that includes puller and presser for pulling out and pressing in front & rear engine bearings. Universal components will work with either .12 or.21 engines, while exchangeable bushings and optional collets are available for use with different-sized engines. Made from Hudy Spring Steel and black-hard coated aluminium 7075 T6 for unsurpassed lifespan and durability, all parts are CNC-machined for ultra-high precision. Lightweight design and compact size, easy and comfortable to use. If you need a tool for use with both .12 and .21 engines, Hudy offers separate collets and presser adapters to make the bearing tool universal.

Jeremy Cupps wins the Texas Biggie

We were sent the following report from Jeremy Cupps on this year’s Texas Biggie, running in its 33rd year. With great weather great people and most important some good racing, the Biggie format is a fun one we run a total of six qualifiers, 2 on Friday, 4 on Saturday and the mains on Sunday. Well Friday’s qualifiers started I was on a good pace and ended 2nd after the first run, I was happy with the run but knew I could go faster. The 2nd run went like the first, I improved my time but was still 2nd on the grid. After the first day of qualifying I was happy with the performance of my car, the 966 was very easy to drive, after securing a spot in the final I was preparing to go after the TQ for Saturday.

TecnoPower sign Portuguese driver João Gomes

New Italian engine company TecnoPower is on its way to enter the serious buggy competition scene with its freshly released ‘B01’ engine and a new upcoming Portuguese driver called João Gomes, who finished 7th at the 2010 Euro’s Warm up in Portugal.

We are very happy to have João joining us and helping us to promote and race our engines. He will not only participate in the upcoming Euro B but also the Euro A and Worlds in Thailand. We at TecnoPower would like to wish him the best of luck and give our best to support to him during these events and will be present too support technically any other driver who will be using our engines during these events.

Robitronic Speedstar BL ESC programmer

New from Robitronic for their Speedstar BL speedo, is this handy little programmer. Immediately after the programmer is plugged to the ESC, it saves the ESCs current settings to its internal memory. You can then modify the ESCs parameters to your personal preferences and upload them to the Speedstar BL for instant setup. Depending on the model, there is a multitude of parameters to choose from and you can display maximum and current temperature or show the maximum speed calculated in km/h.

The ‘TRF201’ will be fully unveiled at next months Shizuoka Hobby show and will prove to be very popular upon its release having already shown to be very competitive in its pre release form.

Answer RC Fuel filter & Servo horns

Answer-RC have released a number of new accessories including this fuel filter, with pressure stabilizing tube. Available in red or black it can be used as a conventional fuel filter on the engine supply line to ensure that no debris reaches your motor or as a pressure stabilizer on the exhaust return line. The latter reduces pressure spike in the tank making for a more reliable run. Also new from Answer-RC are these two CNC machined aluminum servo horns for ultimate durability. The first straight servo horn is designed to keep the arm in line with the gears and put less strain on the servo bearings. A specially designed clamping servo horn for ultimate security is supplied with 2 x screws and allen wrench for the perfect mounting. Both are available in red or black and in 23, 24 and 25T splines to suit all servos.

KM Racing H-K1 200mm prototype photos

KM Racing H-K1 200mm prototype photos

We have shown you CAD images of the new H-K1 prototype IV back in April and today KM Racing have sent us photos and more details on their new 200mm chassis. The car is currently in production and they are aiming for a May 20th World release. As these photos are still of the prototype, there will be some changes from this version and the final production version. Firstly the foam bumper will be using a different plastic bumper top plate as standard, with the carbon bumper top plate shown in the pictures will be sold as option. A receiver box will be included as standard, the shock springs will be black in colour as standard and finally the KM Ultra lightweight clutch system will be included as standard.

Drake & Schreffler win Rd3 of Losi Winter Series

Drake & Schreffler win Rd3 of Losi Winter Series

Losi are reporting that their team driver Adam Drake TQ’d and took a deserved win in the 1/8 Buggy class last weekend at round 3 of the Losi Winter Series, hosted by Revelation Raceway. In the truck class it was another Losi driver Matt Schreffler who took the victory from pole position with his 8ight-T. The fourth and final round of the series takes place on May 1st.
