Groskamp wins Hungarian ETS encounter

Jilles Groskamp has won the second round of the Much More backed Euro Touring Series in Budapest, Hungary, after pulling off a stunning move on Toni Rheinard in the very dying seconds of the A-Main third leg.  Having sat on the bumper of the German throughout the race, the defending Champion got past Rheinard in a stunning dash to the finishline which saw the pair separated by just 8/100ths of a second.

RT Symbio Inferno MP9 shell

Reckward Tuning have introduced a new racing shell for the Kyosho Inferno MP9 buggy. Designed by Daniel Reckward, this unique looking body shell will allow you to use all conventional performance air filters available today on the market and is supplied with Symbio decals and window masks. The shell is made from 1mm thick high quality polycarbonate and comes transparent pre cut with the base, tank cap, engine position and antenna all milled out.

KO Propo have released a number of new items including this a new Sensored brushless motor controller and a 2.4GHz band monitor. The VFS-1 BMC uses KO Propo’s patented VFS technology, has five preprogrammed settings and comes with overheat & current overload protection equipped. The 2.4GHz band monitor allows you to check the use of 2.4GHz in your area. It plugs into your PC USB port and is great for tracks to check on the conditions of 2.4GHz band.

Rheinard & Plechac hold overnight TQ

Toni Rheinard and Jakub Plechac are the overnight TQ holders at the Hungarian round of the 2008/2009 Much More backed Euro Touring Series round 2.  Rheinard produced the fastest run of the Budapest event in the final of today’s qualifiers and as a result tops the qualification ranking from defending ETS Champion Jilles Groskamp who also has two rounds to his credit.  Driving his brother’s Tamiya this weekend, Toni Rheinard recorded 25 laps in a time of 5:02.96 in the penultimate heat after a close run with Martin Hudy who posted the fastest lap.  In the end the two where seperated by just one second.

Team Orion EZ Chargers range

Team Orion have released their range of EZ chargers, a great way to charge your AA and AAA size batteries. The difference of the four chargers is the charge time with the Clubman charger recommended for overnight charges through to the Pro-AM Ultra Quick which manages to complete the charge in only 15 minutes. In addition, the Pro-AM series features professional charging capabilities like Delta Peak cut-off, trickle charge and pulse charge method. The chargers are available seperately or with pre-charged EZ-batteries in either AA or AAA size.

VP Pro ‘Pro-Cision’ series servo arms

VP Pro have released a new range of ‘Pro-Cision’ series servo arms. Made from black anodized aluminium, they have been designed to have 30mm between pivot centre and pivot hole, which they claim offers the smoothest steering response achieved in their tests. Available in 23, 24 and 25 and so can be mounted on any brand of servo.

Motonica P81 1/8th scale chassis

Motonica has announced the arrival of the new P81, the follow up to the P8.0, and the result of constant development. The car will offer racers totally new adjustments, which have been tested by top Italian driver Stefano Solaroli, who was able to combine his own knowledge and experience with that gained within the Motonica Team in these last years. Motonica also mentioned that in order to reward the loyalty of their drivers, a specific promotion will be created which will offer the possibility to Motonica pilots to easily change from the P8.0 to the P81. Expect full details when the car is launched at the International Toy Fair Nürnberg in February.

Full Throttle Racing FTR10

Seen at the Indoor Championships in Cleveland last week was the FTR10, the new World GT class chassis from Full Throttle Racing. These are the first closeup photos of this new prototype chassis which was spotted on the FTR workbench, but we expect to receive official photos and more information soon.
