Japanese company Team Azarashi have released this flexible top deck option for the Tamiya 501X. Available for both the front and rear side of the central motor assemble the original carbon top deck is replaced with 2 seperate braces, made of dry carbon plate, that allow the car to flex giving more mechanical grip. The user can choose to have them on both the front and rear of the car or just one end, whichever needs it.

Korean manufacturer Much More have expanded their line up of competition cells with the introduction of these 4500 CTX-Matched cells. Sold in packs of 6, with packs of 5 to follow soon, these Diamond cells have a large power output and have been matched for optimum performance.

Xray are reporting from the 4th and final round of the Swiss 1/10th 200mm Nationals that took place on the first weekend of September in Aigle in the West of Switzerland. With Walti Beat having taken the National title in the previous round the battle was on for the lower places in the championship and this allowed for some exciting racing. Qualifying was difficult for the newly crowned Champion, who missed his 3rd qualifying run and becuase of this he qualified last and was forced to work his way from the quarter final into the main which he did with ease. In the main final Beat had a bad start but was able to push hard and take the lead, followed by the win ahead of Xray team mate Traugott Schar in 2nd with Loris Pierroz in 3rd.

Hudy have announced the latest addition to their lineup of Professional tools, with the addition of a complete range of Torx drivers. Torx head screws are becoming increasingly popular, as their design inherently resists cam-out (the tendency for a bit to twist out of the fastener slot when tightened) better than Phillips head screws, and resists rounding out the screw slot much better than hex slot screws. The range of tools includes 6 different tip sizes (T6, T8, T10, T15, T20 & T25) and all are sold with the hollowed, lightweight duraluminum handles which feature a specially coated anti-slip grip. We recieved a mail yesterday telling us about the Belgian built Vantomme M12 1/12th scale electric pan car. This car is the 2nd generation chassis, the first called the M1.1 was built in 2005 and was based on the Speed Merchant Rev4. This latest version features a number of improvements including numerous chassis cut-outs, extreme small lower motor plate for easy access motor, a sharp X shape front design and a very short chassis with an extra bumper to attach. The ‘VantommeM12’ hit the circuit for the very first time last weekend, during a ‘MRCZ Challenge race’ and finished a hard fought 3rd after qualifying 2nd.

Since it’s release last year, the Tamiya TRF501X has enjoyed some competition successes, including winning the recent European Championships in Finland. The experience gained through the development of the TRF501X is now available to fans around the world in the form of this much-anticipated R/C off-road buggy, the Durga. Essentially a plastic version of the 501X, the Durga uses a reduced number of parts for ease of maintenance and comes supplied wth the wheels, tires and 540 type motor, all for a more competitive price.

I received some pictures of Martin Hudys Xray T2’008, taken at the Austria Masters in Steiregg, in my mail box while i was on holidays 2 weeks ago and presumed that they had already been spread around the internet while i was away. But reading through RC Tech it appears that people havent yet seen them so here they are. As you can see it has the belts placed on either side of the main spur gear as well as other small changes that i wont even pretend to know.

RD Logics have introduced 2 new high quality wheel nut wrenches. The first is a rather unique multi-purpose wheel wrench that not only serves it first purpose as a wheel wrench for both 17mm & 23mm wheel nuts but also includes a flywheel wrench, a 8mm wheel nut wrench (for 5mm locking nut & glow plugs) a 5.5mm nut wrench (for 3mm locking nut) and a turnbuckle wrench – Size 4, 5, 5.5, 7, 8, 10, all in 3 great looking anodised colours – blue, red and purple. The 2nd wrench is a more conventional heavy duty black aluminum hex wheel wrench for 17mm or 23mm wheel nuts.
