Exotek have introduced their new line of 2-colour aluminium option parts for the HB Racing D819 and E819 buggies. Usable for the HB Racing D819, E819, D817, and E817 series of buggies and trucks the steering set includes bearings and crush sleeves to convert the vehicle’s steering to be bushing free for long wear and less slop. The aluminium parts come polished and anodised in black with custom orange chamfers. Also new is a heavy-duty 7075 machined alloy steering brace plate for the D819, E819, D817, and E817 series of buggies and trucks. Joona Haatanen doubles at JC Carpet Challenge

The JConcepts Carpet Challenge was held in Stockholm, Sweden last weekend with some big names from Northern Europe in attendance. The man to beat was Team Associated’s Joona Haatanen who was hotly contested from new AE teammate, Alexander Landen who was able to TQ two rounds of 2WD qualifying. The overall TQ honours however went to Joona thanks to a quicker tie-breaker. The finals were all preceded by a super pole, so the start order was set by a one lap shoot-out before each round. Alexander managed 2nd place in both the first finals behind Haatanen, and was en route to win the last round after a mistake by Joona, but problem with a lapped car that decided to immediately try to un-lap itself meant that Joona could catch up and make the overtake of the weekend with a huge jump before the straight meant that Alexander had to settle for 2nd in that final as well. Overall and behind Joona and Alexander it was Schumacher’s Pekko Iivonen with the final podium spot.

T-Works introduce new NB48 2.0 optionals

Coming from T-Works and made for the Tekno NB48 2.0 buggy are new aluminium optionals in the form of a +5mm shock standoff and a diff cross pin set. Starting with the standoffs, the shock mounts are machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium and they are of a +5mm design, meaning the shock are attached more laid back which can optimise the suspension action in certain conditions. To improve durability the parts come with a hard surface coating and also included is gold-colour mounting hardware. Also new is a 6-piece set of hard-coated 7075-T6 aluminium differential cross pins. Designed to be a direct replacement for the standard pins the alloy parts remove rotational masses from the drivetrain for quicker spool-up and acceleration. While being available as a full set, the pins are also available as pairs for single diff units.
